NOT EVEN CUSTOMER'S BEST....

I am disabled senior displaced from new home due to environmental, biohazardous debris in studio apt for 1 mo and counting, canceled PuppySpot delivery and failed to cancel Pet's Best insurance. Many health and habibility issues persist. Pet's Best will only reimburse me for 1 month due to their rigid 30 day cancellation policy. PB website is ADA non-compliant and operator has no phone number for me to escalate my request for the 1 more month of reimbursement. This presents 1 more violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Inaccessibility, inflexibile rules, rigid rip-off, very poor customer service is a serious RED FLAG for pet owners with disabilities.

They used to be a eh ok, to dude, don't get that so called insurance

They used to be a eh, decent pet insurance, but they keep cutting things, over and over and now they are just a waste of money. They don't cover anything AT ALL. They will use every single excuse to make everything a pre-existing condition. Dog had diarrhea ONC, now anything that's gastrointestinal, is a "pre-existing condition". I used to get a discounted pet script, but because my dog had vaginitis (bulldog), again ONLY ONCE, her seasonal allergies are considered a "pre-existing condition" and they don't even cover her apoquel. I highly advise you look at other legit pet INSURANCE companies, cause this is just a place the wants your nickels and dimes and you're not getting ANYTHING back. It's a joke.

Premium doubled on auto-billing. Minimal notice. No resolution.

I’ve been a Healthy Paws customer for years with minimal claims over the life of my dog. My monthly premium increased from under $150 to $352.33. Because the account was on automatic billing, the new rate was applied and continued for months before I caught it. Healthy Paws stated that a renewal notice was sent via email and later provided a copy. The subject line reads “Your Pet Insurance Policy Update,” and the premium increase is embedded within a broader message rather than clearly presented as a material pricing change requiring acknowledgment. When I contacted them, I acknowledged the policy terms and proposed a straightforward resolution: move to a lower-cost plan and address the approximately $1,600 in overpaid premiums in a way that preserved the relationship. They declined. I was told no adjustment of any kind was possible. This may meet a regulatory standard. It does not meet a reasonable standard for communicating a material change tied to automatic billing. If you’re evaluating pet insurance, I would look for a company that treats a doubling of premiums as something that requires clear, active acknowledgment—not a single standard notice. That was not my experience.
