Once is time to pay, they don't :)

I need to argue with them because THEY know better than the vet what tests are needed for OUR dog. Moreover, the exam fees are not covered (they never said that other than in the policy in small prints). Beware because the "exam fees" and mostly 80% of the invoices you usually pay at the vet.

apparently I never meet the deductible and my fees increase every year

Every claim I have ever submitted always says I don't meet the deductible. I am supposed to have a $500 deductible and 90% coverage. My last claim was for $790, and they broke it into several components, each with its own deductible so apparently, I never meet the deductible, and my monthly fee goes up every year when I have never been paid out anything in the last 4 years

Don't bother

Don't bother, you end up with increase monthly payment every year until it's as much as your car payment and when you need to get something done after a few years, there's always a fine print in their policy that will make them not pay it. It's such a scam. Save your money and don't bother dealing with those thieves.

complete scam when you file a claim. The sure don't allow my review on thier website

Do not use this company if you do not live in the USA, and even then, I would not recommend them as they are a scam. They promise to pay for things and then call everything pre-existing. I have a 3-year-old cat with a tooth problem. Being as she was not a kitten when I started with them, they say it's pre-existing with 0 evidence of that. The problem is that they do not have a legal team that responds, so your options to sue are very limited if you do not live in the USA. Just avoid them and don't fall into their trap as I did!

My cat Bosley was recently diagnosed…

My cat Bosley was recently diagnosed with Hyperthryoidism. Trupanion has been incredible to deal with. The administration team at my vet hospital put the wrong classification on a couple of visits regarding this ailment, so I had appeal with Trupanion. It’s so stressful dealing with an ailing loved one, let alone worry about insurance coverage. Trupanion had the issue rectified in less than 24 hours. I was blown away with their customer service, care and concern.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
