Horrible

Horrible. Stay away from this company at all costs. They actually find ways to get out of paying by stating “pre-existing conditions” for everything. I paid almost $10,000 at emergency vet and was reimbursed NOTHING.

Raising rates to excess

Raising rates to excess . Pay for 7 years once you need to use it they raise rates. You can’t get another insurance or everything is preexisting conditions at 7 years old . Terrible I will never use them again for any of my animals . Rate. Not raised a little but excessive beware .

sadly i have to give one star

sadly i have to give one star - otherwise i would give zero. This company has zero customer service. Due to a life changing situation (stroke) we wanted to cancel the policy. they ignored several emails regarding cancellation and refund and continued the policy and now don't even let us cancel the policy - no access now to policy or log in but charged our credit card. The absolute worst experience in an already exhausting life changing situation. awful. the worst experience.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
