adoro is a new kind of pet insurance, built by industry veterans who knew there had to be a better way. We designed coverage that’s simpler, clearer, and built to stay affordable as pets get older.
We do a lot of things better. Here are some:
We have a unique deductible lock feature, which means premiums will remain more stable as pets age;
We don’t charge you extra to pay monthly;
We include exam fees and physical rehabilitation in our accident and illness policy – no adds-ons needed;
We are the only company to offer body condition score and customer loyalty discounts.
Our claims process is simple, with instant payout options for approved claim payments.

I really loved how clear the coding was sent back to me of what you did cover and if I had met my max or not, as a 1st time pet insurance owner I have been super nervous about this and making sure my fur baby is cared for and I can afford everything he may need and just from this experience I feel like y’all have my back and I appreciate that!

Ease of submission. Extremely quick response. I filed a claim late on a Friday and had response in about 1 hour. Was totally expecting to wait until Monday

Monthly Cost
Plan costs depend on your choices, as well as pet breed, age and where you live.
Coverage
Accident and illness coverage, with two wellness optional choices. Exam fees and rehab coverage included in every policy (not an add-on). Payout percentages range from 50% - 85%.
Payout Limits
A range of choices between $3,000 and unlimited (annual). There are no lifetime limits.
Deductible
Range from $200 to $1,000 (annual).
Age Limits
At least 7 weeks old to enroll (and 14 years or younger). Once the pet is enrolled they may stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
0 days for accidents and 12 days for illnesses after the policy becomes effective. Unlike some providers, adoro does not have any extended waiting periods for orthopedic issues (like torn cruciate ligaments).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions (anything your pet had before your coverage began);
Routine care you can plan for, like vaccines or spay/neuter (unless you add wellness coverage);
Non-treatment costs (like grooming, boarding, food or cosmetic procedures);
Behavioral-related expenses like costs for pet aggression or training;
Other exclusions may apply. Refer to the exclusions section of the policy for more information.
