Healthy Paws for Life

I can't say enough great things about Healthy Paws pet insurance! Our pets are like family to us and Healthy Paws is always there for us. It is so stressful to be told your dog has cancer or that they need knee surgery. Thor has been through cancer surgery last year and knee surgery this year. I never had to worry about the vet bills because Healthy Paws reimbursed me 90% of both surgeries within 3 days. They are absolutely the best pet insurance company out there and worth every penny. You get what you pay for and they will be my pet insurance company for life!

Customer service has greatly declined…

Customer service has greatly declined in the last few years, they used to be great but now they have outsourced their call center and often times you get someone who is not familiar with animal health, etc. I am cancelling my policies with them, it's too hard to get an answer. Rates continue to go up and they are reducing coverage. There are plenty of other 5 star insurance companies with far better reviews and customer service.

Not reimbursing

Well let me tell you if if you had a pre existing condition or don’t know you had a preexisting condition:check with you Vet before buying this insurance. We did not know because a phrase called (choppy gate) which in the ‘doc notes’ which you don’t see unless you ask see we were told no existing conditions but when we filed a claim sure enough the doc note had this so no money for any of my claims. So I paid 2 month premiums and unfortunately my dog passed away and we got zip due to a librella shot that killed him due to osteoporosis (choppy gat) So $1500 with only about $300 reimbursed be very aware very aware plus it took almost a month for them to decline my claims awful company I’m not happy

Pumpkin is a must for pets

I love the quick response, review and settlement of my claims. Our fur babies deserve the best medical care when needed, however, the upfront cost may deter some people. So having Pumpkin is really helpful and takes the financial burden away for any major medical treatments.

Fast turnaround on reimbursements

Once the annual deductible was met, reimbursements are very fast. I wish you offered Senior Citizens discounts on premiums. Our pets are so important to us old folks on fixed incomes. Keeping them healthy as well as ourselves can get costly.

Be Aware!

Be Aware! We have had Fetch insurance for a year now, and we just received our renewal notice with a 55% increase. After doing some research, I discovered that pet insurance companies often trap you once you join because you cannot switch to a different company if your dog has preexisting issues. Since our dog has developed allergies, we are now forced to either pay the 55% increase or lose coverage entirely. I truly believe they lowball the rate for the first year and trap you from that point on. Please make sure you ask all the right questions before getting insurance with this company.
