70% Rate Increase

My dog turned 8 years old and I just got a notice of a 70% increase in cost for his insurance. I took out the policy when he was 6 months old and have never filed a claim. The policy has been on auto pay for the full time. When I sent an email to the company complaining about the increase and stating I would need to cancel, they sent me an email saying if I did not change my cancellation, it would take effect. No attempt to keep my business! To me this is a window into their business model: insure pets during their healthiest years and do their best to cull their insurees as they get into the age where they may have need of the insurance.

The girl I spoke with was honest and upfront in regards to my inquiry! After speaking with people from many companies, I decided this was the most practical policy for my new rescue regarding coverage pricing!

28 percent policy increase

I was a loyal customer of Trupanion and have policies for my three pets. None of these three dog (9 yrs) cat 1 (4.5 yrs) cat 2 (1.5 yrs) have had more than minor medical needs over the years so I haven't needed to test the policy around claims. But they continue to increase my coverage rates despite my loyalty and that I have not cost them anything to date. I received an increase for my cats' coverage by 28%. I know we have inflation but that's outrageous. I cannot recommend using them because they do not value customers despite their cheerful attitude when telling me about the rate increase and pointing to the cost of care for other pets.

It’s frustrating to see how much you don’t cover. Sally has unfortunately pretty severe gastrointestinal issues. Now she has prescribed food that costs about $165-$185 a month. It’s PRESCRIBED yet not covered. I wish I would of done more research before I chose you as Sally’s insurance provider.

Piece of Mind

I am very happy that I went with Met Life Pet Insurance. I was more concerned about a car accident involving traveling with my dog and all needing vet care at the same time. That has not happened but my youngest dog has recurrent leg injuries that seem to involve her ligaments so treatment has been costly and ongoing for months due to the off and on nature of the issue. The coverage has been great and has taken the stress over the cost of her treatment out of the picture and I can just focus on bring my agility dog back to health.

Increase monthly payments by 100 % in two years now $222.00

My experience has been ok with you’re company but what is absolutely disgusting is how you increase you’re monthly payment over the past 2 years by more then 100%. When I first got this insurance 3 years ago I paid $103.00 a months then it increased to $174.00 a month a year later and I just got an email stating it will now be $222.00 a month this is absolutely appalling I pay more in pet insurance a month then I do for a $600,000.00 house by almost 100% this is criminal and not ok. What once gave me peace of mind is now causing stress. I will be cancelling tomorrow morning

Assistance when needed!

My Precious joined our family 3 1/2 years ago. I knew from what I heard and the cost of pets vet bills that if something major happened to Precious, I wanted to be able to take care of her. Up until 3 weeks ago we did not have a major event. But.......when it came....words can not describe how thankful I was that Trupanion was helping me with her medical bills and I was able to see that she received whatever she needed without having to worry about finances. I could handle the ductible and the 10% while they paid 90%.

After two years of paying premiums for…

Update Stay away from Embrace Pet insurance As expected by delay and continued requests for more information claim was denied. I’m glad I found out after small claim before needed in future. I’ll be better off putting the $1900 a year away I was paying them. With increases every year it would be more BTW I emailed as reply suggested , crickets I have replied with policy number they couldn’t find I stand by my one star review, all I was got was need more information even though vet sent everything requested. Embrace works hard not to cover After two years of paying premiums for 2 dogs, one had an issue that treatment total was about $100 over deductible. Even for this amount all I got was delays and Embrace looking for way not to pay claims. My advice is stay away from Embrace.
