Greedy greedy company
Pet's Best raises their premiums to astronomical amounts. I have been a customer for 8 years with four pets and have submitted one claim. They have raised premiums by hundreds of dollars year after year that it is essentially impossible to justify paying. I am sure they are not the only company to do this, but I cannot recommend it anymore. Way to ditch customers and force their hand at canceling a plan out of pure greed. We need greater regulatory practices on these greedy insurance companies!

I am finally getting insurance on my…
I am finally getting insurance on my cats for the first time and Trupanion is an excellent company to have it with. They are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. There's no middleman if you're veterinarian accepts their insurance. They paid directly to the veterinarian. I have three cats one age 8 years old, one age 14 months, and the baby age 5 months old. I'm only paying $167 per month for full coverage on all three of my cats. I have $1,000 deductible per cat but that is a lifetime deductible which means that one said deductible is met during the lifetime of the cat, you never have to pay for any more deductibles. My cats usually live to be 15 to 20 years old so that's why I knew it was important to get insurance while they were young. Trupanion is an awesome company and I've had nothing but good experiences with their customer service team. I highly recommend them for pet insurance. MarLa M. Las Vegas, Nevada.

60% increase in cost because I used it
60% increase in cost because I used it? Didnt cover everything when my husky had knee surgery last year. Would be better saving the money monthly and just paying myself.

Will NEVER Recommend Healthy Paws Again
I am absolutely disgusted by Healthy Paws’ recent policy changes for pets over 7 years old. After being a loyal customer for more than 10 years, I never expected the company to effectively reduce coverage just when senior pets are most likely to need it. Healthy Paws has downgraded reimbursement rates and more than doubled deductibles for older pets, leaving long-time customers with significantly worse coverage despite years of faithfully paying premiums. Many of us purchased pet insurance specifically to protect our pets as they age, yet Healthy Paws appears to be changing the rules once pets reach the stage of life where coverage matters most. What makes this especially frustrating is that existing customers are essentially trapped. After years with the company, switching insurers often isn’t a realistic option because of pre-existing condition exclusions. Healthy Paws knows this and still chose to reduce the value of coverage for senior pets. Numerous pet owners have reported similar changes affecting pets aged 7 and older at renewal. This is a terrible way to treat customers who have supported your company for a decade or more. Loyalty clearly means nothing when corporate profits are put ahead of the people and pets who trusted you. I can no longer recommend Healthy Paws to anyone considering pet insurance. If you’re shopping for coverage, pay close attention to what can happen when your pet gets older—because that’s when you find out what kind of company you’re really dealing with.

Increases price as the number of claims increases. Check your monthly price. It changes without notification. Very disappointed. They hold you because it is hard to get a new insurance company because of existing conditions and they know it.

I insured my cat with Nationwide from…
Do not consider Nationwide if you want to have your pet covered. The insurance is supposed to protect you when your pet gets sick. In my experience, Nationwide was there when I had my monthly payments, but not when my cat actually needed care. After years of loyalty, I felt abandoned and misled. I would not recommend Nationwide to anyone looking for reliable coverage for a pet with any illness. They will simply say it is breed related and take it as uncovered even if this is not stated in any policy documents. I insured my cat with Nationwide from the day I brought him home. When he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition at age two, Nationwide immediately began reducing coverage and looking for reasons to deny claims. First, they cut my coverage options by about 50%. Then they claimed his condition was hereditary and breed-related, despite my veterinarian providing written confirmation that it was not. Nationwide ignored the medical opinion and maintained its denial.
