We have had embrace for about 12 months…

We have had embrace for about 12 months now on our 1 years old boxer. The policy doesn't cover meds while being treated at the vet or at home. My fault should have read the policy coverage better. My understanding was meds at home not covered. But was wrong. after 1 year the policy more than tripled for a 14 month old boxer. We relocated from CA to AZ which reduced the cost of care by 50%. I would not recommend embrace for anyone. I had Trupanion for another boxer and had it for 13 years. Never did we have a rate increase like this and it was a better policy.

Informative, Knowledable and Pleasant

I really enjoyed speaking with my representative, Nadine Van Ness. She was informative, professional, upbeat, and pleasant to speak with. I already had Fetch Pet insurance for one of my dogs and was interested in getting information about adding another pet for my new quote. I now have insurance for both of my pets. Supportive and Communicative

I liked the fact that VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth,MA and Trupanion have a working relationship. VCA South Shore took care of everything, I didn’t need to worry about filing a claim for my dog’s operation. Then Trupanion followed up with both emails and phone calls to make sure I didn’t have any questions and to let me know they were there for me. I really appreciated that. Trupanion really put my mind at ease during a very stressful time. I know there are a lot of insurance providers out there but I would highly recommend Trupanion to everyone.

I honestly regret choosing Embrace Pet…

I honestly regret choosing Embrace Pet Insurance. My experience with them was beyond frustrating and felt incredibly misleading. I submitted a claim and waited over 5 MONTHS for them to process it — only for them to deny it in the end. During those entire 5 months, it felt like they were just dragging things out while continuing to collect my monthly payments. The worst part was that they kept claiming they were “waiting on specific documents” from my veterinarian, even though my vet had already sent ALL consultation notes and records multiple times. Instead of actually calling the veterinary office to resolve the issue quickly, they would only send emails back and forth, causing even more delays. I personally tried to send the documents myself to speed things up, but customer service repeatedly told me there was “nothing they could do” and that I just had to wait. No urgency. No support. No accountability. Then after waiting over 5 months, they finally denied the claim by saying the condition was “pre-existing” or “pre-diagnosed.” After that, they denied THREE MORE of my claims as well. At that point, I felt completely scammed and misled. What’s the point of paying for insurance every month if they delay everything for months just to deny claims in the end? I canceled my policy immediately. I would never recommend Embrace to anyone who actually expects help when their pet needs care.

All the hype to have this coverage

All the hype to have this coverage. I paid more in my premiums that what I am going to be reimbursed. Still not sure this is worth it for the monthly cost +deductible +coins to get back what i got back. When i still have this policy until August I will still have paid more that the emergent service-+ sedation and tests than what I am being reimbursed for. The medicated food is not covered. Seems like if you find a reputable veterinarian that might be a better idea .
