Long Processing Times and Difficulty Getting Claims Paid
My claim was denied originally despite all documentation from the visit being provided. When I tried to reach someone on the phone or chat it was almost impossible. When I finally could talk over chat I was told the doctor's SOAP notes were needed from my pet's very first visit that was months prior and unrelated to the current claim. The doctor sent them over, and despite PetsBest saying the claim would be reopened when the notes were received, it never was. This time I was able to get someone on the phone from your company after almost an hour of waiting, and was told the notes from the doctor were never forwarded on PetsBest end to the processing department after being received. Months later, the claim was finally paid out, but never would have been if I didn't call to make sure you all did your jobs properly on your end.

When I exceeded my deductible for the claim, Trupanion then disallowed coverage as a preexisting condition. I had to appeal to resolve. Not the type customer experience expected after paying a monthly charge for 9 years.

My girl has cancer and with the pet insurance we would not have been able to get her surgery and chemo. She has survived 16 months so far past surgery and chemo. We would have lost her to cancer by now if not for pet insurance! The reimbursement has been simple and easy!

Easy to sign up
Easy to sign up! Easy to file claims and get the reimbursements. The only thing I had issues with was filing a claim on the app, as it kicks you out every time you leave the app to scan a document or whatever else you need to do outside the app, so I definitely use the website more often.

refreshingly simple process
Had a mild emergency on New Year's Eve. The place I brought the dog to was a mess but filing a claim and receiving payout through Healthy Paws was refreshingly easy. Good to know at least one company out there is efficient.

Worst experience! Very unprofessional.
I did my research and felt that Trupanion was the right choice for me, so I signed my puppy up for a policy. After additional researching and discussions with other pet owners that have pet insurance I decided to go with Embrace. I called on the 14th day of my policy to cancel. The representative I spoke with very unprofessional and spoke to me as though I was a child being scolded. He said he give me 3 days to reconsider and continued to speak to me in a condescending tone even after I explained all of my reasons. 3 days later I received an email confirming my cancellation and was informed that I was being refunded a "prorated amount". I found this strange seeing as that we hadn't even gotten through our illness waiting period, barely through our accident period and never made a claim. All things said and done I would definitely not recommend Trupanion after the rude, unprofessional way I was treated.

Good, yes, maybe. Fast, definitely not
I am reading the reviews and although I usually do not review I want to make one thing clear : PetsBest is NOT fast. It takes a minimum of 3 weeks for them to process and reimburse any claim, even the most straightforward. Many will take maximum a week. I compared and think the coverage is very well positioned for the price compared to competition but ‘Fast’ does not define the service. Also the detail of benefit is not always clear and it is very hard to tell why this or that or covered or not. I think this is the same with most others. If you want a good pet insurance for a reasonable price, maybe. But if you want a fast one, this would not be your first choice.

This is absolutely a waste of your money, my dog required surgery for a common ailment, though Healthy Paws in their final and much delayed resolution implied I had mistreated my beloved pet.. Do Not continue paying your premiums, Healthy Pet will list your claim under "Other Exclusions".....in other words .."we are not paying a cent"... This is a scam!
