I have a Havanese and I insured her with plan 4! I had to do surgery on her both knees. Do you know what the Petsecure did? They paid the cost but immediately they sent me a letter that they are not going to pay 80% of expenses anymore and they will pay just 50% from now on. however they are charging me for plan 4 monthly but only paying 50% of medical expenses. I am going to cancel my plan and I am not going to use this insurance company for my second dog!

Our dog, Hazel, has had a few medical issues in her young life as a 2 year old lab mix. Healthy Paws has been very prompt in paying claims. It's also nice that you don't have to hassle getting your vet's signature on the claims forms anymore! I always recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for pet insurance.

My two cats were insured after one had all his teeth removed due to stomatitis and the other spent the night at the ER vet for dietary indiscretion. Within a few months we used the insurance to cover one of the cats eating a toy (caught before she needed surgery) and in one claim the insurance had paid back the premiums and then some. We would have saved the cat anyway, its so nice to have Pets Best as our partners and for peace of mind. Since then one cat was diagnosed with IBD and pyloric valve stenosis in his stomach and required very costly surgery, Pets Best processed the claim within days & covered him. They continue to cover his medications. The other kitty was "the good one" until recently when she began vomiting blood for no reason. Turns out she had intestinal necrosis. After her surgery she started showing signs of heart failure. Multiple days in the hospital, xrays, meds, echos, ultrasounds, Within 2 days of submitting what were multiple claims intermixed, Pets Best had processed it and again, we were covered. They will continue to cover her as we now deal with her early stage heart disease. We love Pets Best, we always recommend them to our friends and family. They are a fantastic company and stand by their commitment to your pet's health.

Anytime we have had a claim, and there have been quite a few since our Greyhound is a rescue dog with alot of issues. When she would go to the Vet. and a bill was submitted to Embrace, it was paid within two weeks. We are very happy we chose Embrace. Also, all the people who answer the phones are A+.

The service I received was fantastic. Within 5 business days my claim had been reviewed and I received a personal call from Carolyn at Pets Plus Us. The first thing she asked was how Sadie was doing. It was an emotional call. I was upset because my dog was sick and hearing the compassion in her voice made the situation less stressful. We then discussed the submission and coverage and that she was issuing the reimbursement that day. She even gave me reassurance that because Sadie had insurance at the time of the incident if future incidences occurred I would still be covered. The coverage was exactly as purchased. So far they seem to be on top of things , & fair in most situations . I would highly recommend them to everyone whom has a pet . It seems like Vet. costs are very similar to human medical . Without it I may have had to put one or both down .

On my first visit with his new Vet they highly recommended pet insurance and had all the brochures so that I could decide, which I did and choose Trupanion, Thank God. Bernie just had TPLO surgery 3 weeks ago, he ruptured his left hind leg ligament. Recovery time will be about 8 - 12 weeks. I am so happy that I made the decision to carry insurance on him when he was just 6 months old, believe me it definitely paid off with his recent surgery and the customer service I have received from Trupanion has been painless and so professional and they truly care. I would highly recommend to anyone to make this choice as I did. Also, submitting my claim was so simple and receiving my reimbursement check within 2 weeks was amazing, it was easier than dealing with my own health Insurance carrier. Thank you Trupanion!!

I recently canceled insurarnce with Petsecure for one of my two dogs as it became uneconomical to keep paying, as they lowered the co-pay amount. The more claims the lower it gets, and if your dog has exclusions, they reword it so that they don't have to pay under your policy. They are always professional and claims are handled quickly, but if you need to use it, they eventually will make it worthless. You do need to keep on top of them and the things that they say they won't cover. They are an insurance company so of course it's about money and not paying out whenever they can
