48 hour approval

Submitted my claim on a Monday for $ 550.00 and had an email approval by Wednesday. Check was in my hand by Friday. 90% of the $550 minus my exam fee and zero deductible. What more can u ask for? And... All tests showed NO CANCER! Peace of mind that I would not have been able to afford.

Great Service

I recently adopted a cat and bought pet insurance just in case he had issues I was unaware of. It turned out he needed some dental work and Pets Best covered the cost of the needed extractions. They were very efficient and made the claim process easy. I would recommend them for pet insurance.

Fantastic! Better than people insurance!

They are awesome. Initially just put my smallest dog on this because he's so small I was worried he'd get injured easily..well he didn't get injured but had a few other health issues come up..and they have been fantastic and walking me through the process. I have three dogs and I'm adding one to this and cannot wait for the policy on the other dog to expire so I can switch him over as well..They have been amazing!

Pets Best Perfomed

My beautiful English Bulldog rblew her ACL about 10 days ago. The surgery thus far has resulted in nearly 5k of expenses. Pets Best paid exactly what they owed - nearly $3,800 in five business days. I was expecting a per insurance company to try to avoid paying the amount listed on the policy. Like most medical companies for humans I expected the claim to be minimized by "excessive charges above reasonable costs". I about fell out when the entire process from the time I called to cerify coverage for the surgery through the payment of the claim went off like clockwork and out performed the service level I get from my Blue Cross - Blue Shield plan. My dogs surgery was conducted by the best animal physicians in Houston - Gulf Coast Veterinary Clinic. The person in charge of helping file the claim told me at the time of service that thye had never had a single issue with claim payments from Pets Best. I strongly recommend this company.

Outstanding Customer Service

I Recentally switched insurance companies and joined embrace. I was a little worried due to my past experience with my other insurance company. They would take days to call back regarding claims, the amount they said that I would be getting back was such an outrageously low price I just didn't understand were they were coming up with the figures and the amounts. With embrace I feel like they are always emailing me and keeping in touch when something happens with my dog Roxi. They are so helpful and when you call you can actually speak to a person and not a computerized system. I have already recommended embrace to alot of my friends and family with pets. I love embrace and my pet loves embrace. Thank you.

Beware of this company!!!

My dog was diagnosed with grade 1 heart murmured, and they denied my claim saying that the condition was pre-existing, I had called and talked to them, they asked me to fax in the doctor's note to clarify my dog's condition is not pre-existing, I did that. They still denied it. My Vet had since faxed in 2 different doctor's note trying to clarify the condition is not pre-existing, and even ask the claim department to call the doctor's office to verify, but they never call him and yet denied my claim. I had already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureur. Please beware of this company. They do anything, and say anything they want. They try anything just to deny your claim. Customer service was rude!!

Great coverage and service

I have the accident-only coverage on my dogs, because Bassets can be rock-eaters. They have covered two rock-eating surgeries on one of my girls, and that was after she had the same surgery prior to coverage. They have continued to cover her, and I've insured all my subsequent dogs with them for accident coverage. For regular expenses, I prefer to set the funds aside and build up savings for predictable care. It can be hard to get through on the phone, set aside a cup of coffee or tea and some crosswords for the hold period, but beyond that I've found their customer service very responsive.

BEWARE

I really hate this company. They have some crazy "pre-existing" condition policies that get sprung on you when you least expect (or can afford) it... basically, they claim that ANY condition that has EVER been filed (and how many times might you have a puppy/dog with a stomach ache in its lifetime, for example...), it will NEVER be covered again after the calendar year that you first file it. An ongoing condition (for instance, my dog has epilepsy, which controlled by medication, but she is supposed to get her blood levels monitored every year or so) - that is first diagnosed in December of 2007 will suddenly become A PRE-EXISTING condition as of Jan 1 2008, and nothing - medication, vet checks, etc - will EVER be covered for that illness ever again. This has cost me a lot of money. I have wanted to cancel for years, but keep it because my dog is a senior and i expect there will be more illness to come, but I HATE this company. they truly make up their own rules to suit their bottom line - they are not a god company.

Don't pay some claims - poor customer service

I have had the best wellness plan for over a year and recently had a recommended operation on our German Shepard for Cryptorchidism in dogs ( non descending Testicle )- which I thought was covered ($1400). Two doctors recommended this because not doing it causes cancer - then too late for our dog. Now they refuse to pay anything 'as being unfair to their clients- I mean what? Try calling Customer service and while you are number two in the queue, you might wait for 30 minutes. Try to get a pre-approval for anything and find out there is no system for this- you have to pay the vet and then hope after months Pets pays you - and be careful of the deductables.
