My 8-month old puppy grabbed a piece of raw meat off the counter and gulped it down, including the small metal skewer that was stuck in it. We rushed him to the hospital where x-rays confirmed he would need emergency surgery to keep the skewer from puncturing his intestines. Once we got him home (safe and sound), I filed the claim with Health Paws. Having never had pet insurance before, I didn't know what to expect, but the claims process was easy and hassle-free and the claim was approved within days. I'm really glad we decided to insure our puppy with Healthy Paws!

My Ragdoll cat, Beau, has been diagnosed with IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease. He had to have x-rays, ultrasounds, and a biopsy to reach the diagnosis. We are still working on stablizing his condition using medication and special food. Most of the cost was covered by Pets Best Insurance, and we are very greatful that we had the coverage.

Although I feel the reimbursement time should be quicker, I am pleased with the reimbursement itself. Being a single mommy to Eddie, it's reassuring to know there's help when needed.

Let me start we have two English Bulldogs. And they can get pretty expensive when it comes to vet bills. I am there so much me and everybody there are on first name basis. But is nice getting something back from the insurance co. It helps for the next time we need to go to the vet. So far we have had good luck with ASPCA Ins. so far. They are very easy to deal with. And having them there six days a week also helps if you have any questions.And the customer service people are so nice as they can relate because they all are pet people. And there is nothing better than people that understand what you are going through.

I've always had great experiences with Trupanion. My 2 1/2 year old dog has had a series of unusual health issues since he was a puppy. My Vet also has direct billing with Trupanion so I only have to pa my share up front.

I adopted my cat, Holly, from a shelter three years ago; I was told she had no health problems, and was a healthy, happy kitty. From the first week I had her home, though, my baby has had one health problem after another. I couldn't send her back to a cage, though, so I kept her, hoping with lots of love she would get over her problems and settle down and feel better. For a long time, she actually was better, but this Christmas she got VERY sick...........and I've had to take her to the vet multiple times for multiple tests and medications. We've both been stressed to the max, Holly not feeling well, me WATCHING but not being able to HELP Holly feel better.........and then the vet bills on top of it all. If it weren't for Trupanion staff members to talk to and calm me down, reassure me that I'm doing the best for Holly, I'd don't know where I'd be. If it weren't for Trupanion covering almost all of Holly's health care costs, I would have had to give her up to a new home weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to Trupanion...........for your kind workers, for helping ME through this stressful time, for paying for Holly's vet bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is (unfortunately) our second major surgery with our yellow lab, who is only 3 years old (not including his neutering). Trupanion has been absolutely wonderful! Our bill was 90% covered, and a check to us was cut within a week, making the financial strain not a factor as we worried about our furry child. This time around, we also wound up having three follow up visits due to an infection, and yep...those were covered, too. We did not have pet insurance with our first dog (a chocolate lab), mostly because at the time pet insurance wasn't really around, and we calculated that we probably spent about $10,000 over his 15 1/2 years due to his chronic ear infections. The money we pay each month for Trupanion's pet insurance is the best money we have ever spent! Needless to say, we hope to never need Trupanion's services again, but knowing our lab.... It's comforting to know that should we need it, Trupanion is there to help!
