Quick and hassle free!

I just recently took my Thai Ridgeback to get spayed and microchip. I emailed an Embrace representative and they reimbursed me with the spay and microchip discount the next day! I also made a Wellness claim for the spay and microchip as well and will be receiving a check within 10 days of filing my claim. So far so good!

Best Out There

Thank you Trupanion for doing such a great job at reviewing claims, processing and paying out. All this for a great price. I feel so fortunate to have went with this company. I only wish my own health insurance company was this easy to navigate. My pup has had numerous urinary tract infections, kennel cough and giardia. Even minor claims add up and the UTI claim has become a larger claim than I ever imagined. With a 0 deductible and 90% coverage, I feel very fortunate. I have heard horror stories from others with different pet insurance. You can not afford not to use Trupanion!

compassionate, prompt, friendly service

I have used Embrace Pet I nsurance for 2 years now for my cherished toy poodle, Trixie. I have not had any other insurance and will only use Embrace. They are always available and have super quick responses, claims and refunds. The staff are the most genuine,compassionate and warm people that I have come across. They have ny highest regard

Scam scam scam

I am new to pet insurance and have put one and only one claim in for my kitten. Pets Best informed me that this is a "pre-existing condition", denied the small claim, and provided no explanation. I had never noticed any symptoms nor had her seen for these symptoms prior so I didn't see how it could have been pre-existing. I asked Pets Best for an explanation of the denial and was sent a form email with a copy of the policy's definition of "pre-existing condition". I thought this was pretty ridiculous as I had not asked for an email repeating a definition in my policy but rather an actual explanation of why my claim was denied. I was told by Pets Best to get my pet's medical records and look for myself to figure it out. Clearly, I was not happy. I demanded to know in writing why my claim was denied and was told they would not produce this. I was verbally told that my kitten showed symptoms "as far back as June" but when I requested more specific information and in writing, I was continually denied. I was also verbally told that my claim was denied in part, because my cat was once documented as having sneezed 6 months prior. I'm not kidding. I asked for that in writing and was denied. I requested her supervisor's extension. The representative at first refused to provide her supervisor's name but after extensive arguing from me finally did and allowed me to leave said supervisor a voicemail but refused to provide me the supervisor's extension. To date, no call back from supervisor. They finally relented and emailed me a letter explaining why the claim was denied but it was too vague to be much help. I guess they don't understand the words "specific" and "detailed" and/or they are trying to evade responsibiltiy for their denial. I told the representative I'd be happy to go to arbitration on this matter. She asked me not to threaten to sue her. I explained I was not threatening to sue her but rather indicating that I would utilize the policy's arbitration clause if necessary. She told me I would have to go to Michigan. I told her that was not necessarily true, but that at this point, I was angry enough to go to Michigan. So, the appeal is in the works though I don't have much hope that Pet's Best will reverse its own (scammy) denial. I heard about Pets Best through part of a pet group I belong to. After my clain was denied, I heard through the grapevine that several others had my same experience with this "pre-existing" excuse with conditions that were not at all pre-existing. Sounds to me like a scam. Sounds like Pets Best does its "best" to figure out ways to deny claims and keeps their fingers crossed that people will not go to arbitration. And I can't help but wonder, if they have nothing to hide, why did I have to fight so hard for a vague letter about why my cliam was denied? I am angry and disgusted and wish I had never purchased this policy. Waste of money.

Best Overall Vet Insurance Company

i work at a vet clinic, for which we solely support Trupanion for puppy/kitten pet insurance. Even though prices have increased alot, overall the company is quick with claims, and the no limit life time claims is a great bonus. Awaiting to see what the new owners bring to the table, so far so good. Just don't decrease your payout percentage you'll sadly turn into petsecure=:(

They wont leave you in the dust!

As an RVT, I see lots of pets go untreated, due to cost (more so in these hard times). With all the better pet insurance companies coming out, we have really embraced the idea of pet insurance and have moved full throttle educating our clients. We recently meet the rep for Trupanion, Robert Segura. He came in to talk to the staff about his company. We decided to try it out, as well as there offer of the first month free for our clients. About a week later we had a client come in with a healthy 8 week old puppy. We gave her, Tiny is her name, her first set of vaccines as well as, strongly, encouraged them to start her pet insurance, they signed up the same day. Less then a week later Tiny came back to us sick with Parvo. Immediately we call Robert, being this is our first claim. Robert was very prompt in helping us get started. Come to find out the client did not sign up correctly, and did not have the first month coverage. Robert went above and beyond for us and Trupanion will cover Tiny even though the client did not sign up correctly. As an insurance company this is a great good faith gesture. Most companies look for any way to "get out" of paying anything. We are very pleased to have found Trupanion and highly recommend it to everyone.

Very Happy withPetsBest

I just filed my first claim with Pets Best and am very happy.They were efficient and paid exactly what they said they would very quickly. I also like the way they respond to my emails asap. I'm definitely renewing my policy with Pets.

Keeping me (and my dog) as a customer

We have had our english bulldog since she was 8 weeks old. The breeder gave us a free 1 month policy for her so we looked into keeping it. Knowing english bulldogs can have a lot of healt problems, we continued with this policy. They have always paid out claims and paid them fast. And at 90%! Way better then a schedule of benefits. However, a few months ago, we received notice that the rate was going up. In order to keep the same rate, we needed to raise our deductible to $500. We shopped around and found what we thought was a great plan at a better price. Turned out to be a bad plan at a good price. So we kept our policy with Trupanion!

So far NOT GOOD

I got the premium policy in Nov 07.Put in my first claim in February 08...it was denied. Their reason...I didnt wait two weeks until policy was bought. WTF? Now my dog is very ill. She got pneumonia from the dog park. We're looking at potentially having to do surgery due to lung damage. I'm waiting to see if they pay the bills we have so far. If they don't...its lawyer time. Luckily for me my bf is a nasty lawyer. God, I love that woman. I get lawyer work for a day at the spa with my friend. I bought this policy because of the reviews here. If they don't pay the reviews here are padded. I will also notify this sites admin. I'll keep everyone updated.
