Best Insurance I have ever purchased
I purchased this insurance when my dog was a puppy. It has been an excellent decision. My dog is healthy but even though I have used it for a few things other than just regular checkups and vaccinations and I am so impressed by the ease of submitting a claim and also by the speed of receiving reimbursement. I have recommended this to everyone I know when they get a new pet. Just knowing if something serious ever happens to my dog, having the insurance to help with the expenses is a great peace of mind.

Best Ever
OMG - this is the best pet insurance ever! We adopted a dog that was previously covered by Healthy Paws and I was afraid that the policy wouldn't be transferred because of the dog's age (9yo). The transfer process was fast and seamless. I didn't think I would need to submit a claim so close to owing the dog, but long story short, he ended up having his spleen removed. All I needed to do was upload the vet bill and I was paid within 10 days (before the credit card bill was due). Healthy Paws also sent me several emails to check on Bagels progress and genuinely cared how he was doing. I've never had pet insurance before because i heard of the nightmares with other furry friends' owners. I am beyond pleased and recommend Healthy Paws with all 4 paws!!!

Such a simple straightforward system for filing the claim with fast communication and results.
The process was so simple, from the vet sending in the claim to the quick email response that kept us informed of where our claim was, to the quick online deposit for the claim. The follow up also was greatly appreciated. Of course I wish that more of our 2nd blood test had been covered...but overall I am very happy with the service. We have had this pet insurance since we got Loki and we have not needed to use it before now. We were grateful to have it in this stressful situation. Luckily, after the additional tests, we found that all is good!

this is my first time ever having pet…
this is my first time ever having pet insurance. My dog had to have hip surgery, because her hip got dislocated and I was in a panic due to the hospital costs, etc... I am still going through this process, but at this point they cam through and paid there part of the surgery cost, I was so relieved with no hassle. I am now in the process of having to send my dog to Physical therapy, which is very, very, expensive and I was afraid of the cost and coverage, The agent explained that they also cover that part of the treatment. All the agents I have dealt with so far have been fantastic. If they follow through with part II of this surgery procedure regarding the P.T. part. I will not be able to thank the pet insurance company enough, and I will be advising all my pet friends to look into having pet insurance. Today's situations and cost , it is all most mandatory to have insurance if you are going to own a pet. I will also be recommending ASPCA pet insurance to my friends.

Wow. Insurance for pets has changed in the last 10 years. Claims submitted via an app,, a check received within two weeks, and most vet expenses were covered (granted I pay into the better plan). I highly recommend Nationwide Insurance for the care of your furry babies.

Terrible over 100 dollars
I’ve entrusted your company for the past 7 years . Have only used your service once prior to this claim . I’ve paid well over 4000 dollars over the course of time . Jax was injured ( broken bone in paw ) something you cover . Happened on a Saturday so options were limited . You covered the 90 percent after my deductible . You would not cover an additional 100 dollars which I had no say over at the emergency vet . I called your company to dispute and was told it was in the fine print of my contract . I get it it’s only 100 dollars and to your huge company it means nothing . There are sons of us who still believe in principles . I have no say overall emergency vet cost . They did everything necessary nothing extravagant to help my pup . I think it is awful that a lifelong customer be nickled and dimed . I will give you a chance to rectify this error . If not I can guarantee you it will cost you more than 100 dollars . Show some integrity and make this right . Appreciate your time . Look forward to hearing your resolution . If not my company and all those thinking of pet insurance will be notified of your lack of integrity . Is it worth 100 dollars to you ? Guess we shall see . Thanks for your time
