wonderful ins. Very reasonable!

I have a female pit and she was a rescue. She has had a lot of health problems. Since 5/29/14 she has been to the vet approx. Every 2 to 3 weeks. This could have been a burden on us but since HealthyPaws ins. has has paid 90% of our bills we go to the vet in a good mood and are able to take care of our dog without feeling hopeless. I would have had to give her up and she would have had to suffer another abandment situation which just isn't fair to any living being. So I am very thankful for Healthy Paws ins!

Excellent service overall

Our dog Dexter has been suffering from lymphoma for almost 2 years. Thanks to Trupanion the financial stress of Dexter's 12 months' long chemotherapy and many related tests and medication was relieved immensely. They have been prompt and pleasant in dealing with all of our claims and we would recommend their pet insurance to anyone. The only minor complaint we have is that Trupanion does not cover the vet's examination fee which is fair enough if it relates to regular health checkups and maintenance but is not fair when the only reason for the exam is that your dog has cancer and the exams are related to the cancer diagnosis. Our vet took this up with Trupanion but they did not allow the exam fee. Dexter appears to have been in remission since the end of his chemo altho regular exams are required to ensure he has not relapsed. Trupanion made a terrifying and heartbreaking diagnosis easier to bear and deal with.

Loving Embrace

No its not the title to a seedy novel! We are really loving having Embrace insurance. My little pup had some problems last year and after deductible was met Embrace did their part and have paid 80% of the recent bills. My mom and her dog just moved in with us and we have decided to look into getting him insured also. Thank you Embrace

High prices and very little covered

My insurance has tripled in price, yet the benefits have reduced dramatically. For 2 dogs, i'm paying over $500/month and yet of the claims I've submitted for necessary treatments, I'm not even getting 20% back! One of the treatments my dog required - shockwave - -which the option was do that so she could walk vs have 3 very expensive surgeries done was rejected. Apparently, I was better off charging Pets Best $3K per each surgery vs. $400 for each shockwave treatment. Go figure. As for the rest of the bills submitted for osteoarthritis meds and treatment - -just pennies reimbursed. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

Pets Best has been great!

I volunteer for a rescue organization and you never know the history of a rescued animal. Cotton, a white, female Mini Schnauzer, about 5, was a puppy mill dog. I adopted her and decided to get pet insurance. No problems for the first 2+ years. (Insurance is insurance, you pay and are never sure if you will need it.) She began having accidents and was treated for a bladder infection. Months later she again was having difficulties. She was again treated for a bladder infection, then a stronger antibiotic was tried, but did not solve the problem. Eventually, my vet thought that, perhaps, she had Diabetes Insipidus, a very uncommon disease. The only way to diagnose it was to use an expensive eye drop that came in a nasal spray, which is commonly used with young children. That wasn't an easy process, but in time it did show she had the disease. The medication, now in tablets thank goodness, must be given 3 times a day. Pets Best has been wonderful supporting Cotton's health condition. She's now doing well on meds. I'm now retired and am very glad that I invested in pet insurance.

So far So good

I insured my dog Margaret with Embrace; it was the first dog I ever insured. We had no claims for the first year and a half. Starting last fall, she developed some problems and so far all claims were accepted and we were reimbursed quickly. Thus far, we are very pleased with their service.

Healthy Paws is terrific!

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for my dog Oscar (12 y.o.) for many years and now my puppy Bella (1y.o.). Whenever they have a problem which warrants a vet's attention Healthy Paws promptly and fairly reacts to my claim. It is so comforting to know that Healthy Paws is there for me whenever I need them!

Always easy, very fast payment

I used to have VPI, which is just a horrible company, so switching to Trupanion was the best thing to happen to our fur family. Once the history is established, you can get claim payment within a week. I've never had an issue getting a claim paid for a covered illness/injury. Thanks!
