Excellent although I wish Meds were included

Our Yellow lab was bitten by another dog and we had to take him to a 24 hr emergency vet (not our regular vet, as it was after hours). He was treated, stitched, given antibiotics, pain meds and fortunately all is now ok. Embrace was great and processed the claim very quickly. I only wish that medications were covered under the policy. Almost $200 of the $500 claim were for necessary medications. I know there is a separate pharmacy plan but in emergency situations, I wish there was coverage for the needed medications.

Really pleased with ASPCA!

My cat became very ill and it took a number of trips to the vet (and expensive diagnostics including X-rays, scans, blood work, etc...) to determine the cause of his distress. Eventually he required surgery to remove several bladder stones. We submitted multiple claims to ASPCA and were thrilled by the amount that was covered. Due to their website not allowing us to submit claims online (images of the claims were not legible) we ended up having to mail in the paper copies. Because of these issues, the claims processed was quite delayed. However, we ended up with a substantial refund and were very, very impressed!

It took a really long time to process my claim.

My dog was hospitalize with pancreatitis for four days. It was a really stressful time, we just had a baby and funds were low. We were trying to figure out how to pay for it. I'm so glad we have Pets Best and were able to get some money back. My only complaint was that it took 13 long days to process my claim. Now I am wait 5-7 more days for it to make it to my bank account. I wish on your email and website that it would give a more realistic time frame instead of some places saying 5 days or less and when you speak to a rep they say 10 day. Under promise and over deliver and everyone will be a lot happier.

So far so good - but they are insurance after all

We got the insurance for our mix breed (rescue) as soon as we decided that we were going to adopt him. He had sustained a pretty bad injury when he was a puppy and were told that he was healing well. That was not the case and he needed surgery, Healthy Paws did not cover it as it was pre-existing. They also told us that any future problems that would be tied to that surgery would not be covered. That is why we asked our surgeon to do a full evaluation once he had fully recovered to have medical records showing that he was fully recovered to not have Healthy Paws claim that it was pre-existing. Since then we had some ER visits due to explosive diarrhea, a torn ACL and more. They always covered everything. They are an insurance after all, a responsible one, but if there is a chance it was pre-existing they will push for that. You can't really blame them. Just make sure you don't forget that while they are here to help they also will make sure that things outside of their coverage do not get covered.

Spine Surgery

My dog Charlie required spine surgery due to a herniated disc in his back. His back legs were paralyzed and medication alone didn't seem to help. Healthy Paws greatly assisted us with the very expensive surgery at neurology specialist. While we would have still paid for Charlie's surgery regardless, at least the full amount will not be on our credit card accruing a large amount of interest over a long period of time. It has surely helped us to keep our focus on Charlie's recovery and not worry on how we would be able to pay back the cost of his surgery. I definitely thank Healthy Paws for their services during this time. We love our dogs very much and would do anything for them.

Healthy Paws is the best!

Healthy Paws is amazing! My malti-poo puppy had bad knees and needed surgery on both knees. Those two bills combined were close to $10,000!!! Healthy Paws paid 80% of both surgeries without any hassle! They reimbursed me within two days of submitting the claims! I highly recommend this company to anyone with dogs!

Best Insurance I could have asked for!

Deciding to purchase pet health insurance was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my 3 year old pitbull rescue. He had a partially torn cruciate ligament injury that took away his ability to use his right hind leg. He needed surgery that cost $4,500! Without having Healthy Paws, I would not have been able to get my best friends surgery done. The thought of having to give away my families pet and my best friend because I wouldn't have been able to afford it brings me to tears. Now they are tears of joy as I sit next to my happy and healthy boy Diesel. Healthy Paws worked with me to take care of his surgery and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Getting healthy paws insurance was one of the best decisions I've made and I can thank them for being able to keep my best friend Diesel in my life.

Incredible Company

Just wow, for an insurance company, they are amazing. I told my parents about the quality of embrace and the quick turn around. To my disappointment they select another company - my dad now says "I wish I listened to you, I pay a deductible on every incident and they don't cover as much". Embrace quickly responds to questions, pays out quickly. I will always insure my animals with Embrace. My vet has even been shocked at how quickly they respond and what they will cover. My bully tore her acl, the first treatment went mostly to deductible as we hoped initially it was a sprain - that bill was $660 - I got back $276 - again most to deductible, a few months later we finally did surgery. Because it was the same incident there was no deductible, I got back $4000 on a $4400 surgery bill! My experience may differ from yours but I'm happy!

Pet insurance is a must for any loving pet owner!

After having two dogs for 12 years with no pet insurance, I learned the hard way how expensive pet medical bills can be. After my two furbabies crossed over the rainbow bridge, I found myself with two cats, or I should say they found me. I immediately went shopping for pet insurance. After deciding on ASCPA Pet Health Insurance, a few years went by before one of my cats developed a serious bladder problem. She needed immediate surgery. It was successful and she survived, but it was costly. ASPCA was right there to cover 80 percent of the medical bills in a very timely manner. They even did follow up calls to see how my cat was doing. I was blown away. It's not too often you get service like that from any company! Since then I've had to use my pet insurance for other cat illnesses and each time I've been pleasantly surprised with ASPCA's amazing customer service. If you a have a pet in your family, I would highly recommend them!
