Great insurance, and great service

I insured my dog with Healthy Paws as soon as I adopted him 1 year ago. He was a 6 year old beagle mix that seemed very healthy, but in the last year he went through several health issues, including a persistent limp, a lipoma, a fibroma, a smal tumor in his eyelid and a fractured tooth. Healthy Paws paid for 90% of all the needed treatment, including surgery, x-rays and chiropractor treatment. And they paid promptly and with great customer service. I couldn't be more pleased with this company.

Completely Terrible

I have Petfirst pet insurance and it is horrible. They cover literally nothing - its a total waste of money. I work for a large corporation that this is a 'benefit' through and they tld me that they receive numerous complaints/have had horrible feedback on Petfirst. Save your money.

Very happy with this service, definitely recommend

I have an elder dog, who was recently diagnosed with mammary gland tumor, which had to be taken out quickly, which meant surgery. It was very stressful for all of us, and we were so glad that we had insurance for our dog, who is a member of the family.The insurance paid for most of the expenses, except for the doctor's visit, and minus the deductible. They process claims from 7-10 days, once the claim is received (it actually took about 7 days for us). I was very impressed with them, since they did what they promised. It does not cover pre-existing conditions, but dogs and cats may get sick from something which they did not have previously, and it is really great to have it, just in case. This way you do not have to postpone any treatment, if it's needed. I have used other pet insurances in the past, and prefer this one, just because, they do not dictate, how much each treatment should be, they cover the percentage that you choose. It's great for an older dog or a cat (up to 13?, I think).

MRSA Virus

My dog is a Therapy Dog and we visit nursing homes. He contracted the MRSA virus at one of them. I don't know what I would have done without this insurance with all the medicines, X-rays, scoping of the lungs and biopsy's. Very costly. ASPCA Ins paid 80% of Toby's Vet Bills after his $100.00 deductible.

Great Customer Service and Worth It!

I have been using Healthy Paws for a while now. My oldest kitty (3 yr old) has been with them for about 9 months now. I haven't had to use the insurance for him yet. When I got a new kitten in May, I immediately added her to my policy. I'm glad I did. In all her kittenness, she swallowed some thread (who knows where she got it) and had to have emergency surgery. At only 8 weeks old at the time, she was so tiny that it was already a horrible experience. I forked over my money to make sure my little girl didn't leave us too soon. Then Healthy Paws stepped in and held up their end of the bargain. My vet bill was $1500 for her surgery including the xrays, meds, boarding, etc. Healthy Paws came through and paid $1250 of it (90% minus the $100 deductible). I was elated. It was nice to be able to put that money back into my savings account for another rainy day. I like the customer service involved with this company. Get well notes and "how are they doing now?" emails that are written by an actual person not just a generic computer generated letter (at least, it doesn't seem that way). A very nice touch in a world where most things are bland and robotic.

Thanks Healthy Paws!

A week after my insurance kicked in, my dog swallowed a tennis ball. Healthy Paws made it easy to file the claim, and it was accepted and I was sent the check within a week! 3 months later it happened again and same thing. No questions asked, just accepted and sent a check. I highly recommend healthy paws!

Exceptional service!!

The claim was acknowledged by email 15 minutes after I left the vet's office at 6 p.m. At 7a.m. the next morning there was an email noting that a cheque was being sent. Incredibly fast!!!! Great customer service!!!!!

Professional, attentive service

We have had consistently impressive customer service from Embrace. The staff has always been helpful and timely with responses to questions and decisions on our dog's vet visits. There's obviously a strong and professional culture at Embrace, because we've dealt with multiple representatives and always had a positive experience. You get what you pay for, and we are willing to pay a little more for pet insurance through Embrace because we feel so fortunate to be able to rely on our pet insurance company to help out when we need it. We've recommended Embrace to two friends so far and will continue to do so.

Denied

After having been a customer for several years now, I was disappointed that my claim was denied because my claim was $4 short! I realize short is short, but I thought Pets Best would give me a little slack. I did not submit my follow up visit bill. Should this have been included in claim?

Embrace is THE BEST!

After over a year we're still treating our Rottweiler for a severe bout of Hepatitis after ingesting something he shouldn't have. Not only was he in emergency for 4 days when it happened and it cost well over $5000, but he's been on tons of antibiotics and goes to the vet's weekly for his fluids (intravenously). Embrace has not only been so wonderful in processing our claims and reimbursing us quickly, but they have been so supportive and comforting! I had this insurance company with my previous Rottweiler - and will ALWAYS have them!
