If I could give no stars I would. HORRIBLE company that has crappy customer service, barely any coverage and makes you wait on the phone for an hour or more before answering. They barely reimburse you anything for the price you pay monthly and then they don't cover what you actually need covered. So stupid and not worth it. I just switched pet insurances because PetsBest is so awful

Absolute SCAM!!!
Absolute SCAM!!!! I've had Trupanion now for 5yrs (until today). My coverage with $500 deductible started at $30/mth. My dog is 5yrs old (no major health issues). I'm currently now paying $111/mth!! almost 400% increase in 5yrs??? Oh and to be transparent, I haven't made a single claim! In fact, I've now cancelled the insurance one month prior to my dog's dental surgery to remove a molar...I called Trupanion to inquire about claiming etc and they told me that the will not be covering this procedure. (something about 'pre-existing' conditions...which don't exist...) this seems to be a common 'reason for denial' as I read through numerous reviews. My dog has absolutely NO 'pre-existing' conditions, she's had all vaccines, has never been treated for any ailment and after 5 years of paying $360, $720, $960 and now $1350 with no claims. And with monthly premiums increasing for me from the original $30/month at rates of 100%($60/mth by yr2), 130% ($80/mth yr3), and now 140% ($111/mth). With no explanation or heads up...I'm fed-up. I have had ABSOLUTELY NO APPROVED COVERAGE in 5yrs...and have spent over $3500 to insurance, plus the cost of whatever regular vet visits I've had. I'm better off keeping my money, at least I'll make a few cents interest on it! Trupanion should not be listed as 'coverage' for your pet...it's more accurately classified as a voluntary donation to Trupanion's CEO and others. Disgusting business practices...

Great pet insurance plan
My dog required two separate surgeries within a two month period. Trupanion was prompt in paying the maximum amount for each procedure. The claim submission was simple and payment was within three days without problems.

Trupanion is a genuine company
Trupanion is a genuine company. I appreciate their customer service and that you can actually talk with a person vs a computer. We will be customers for the life of our pet.

Truly Satisfied
I'm typically not one to leave reviews, but I feel that Pets Best deserves this review. I had read mixed things, which isn't unusual wen browsing the internet. Regardless of the negative reviews, I chose Pets Best because they offered affordable coverage for my aging pet. I want to give him the best I can, but I still have a budget to work with. When he was diagnosed with Lymphoma (not too long after purchasing the policy, might I add) I was worried they might deny my claim because I was such a new customer. I have to say that I have had ZERO issues. Their coverage is amazing and while a bit delayed due to COVID, I still find that I am receiving a check in a timely manner. They even e-mailed to apologize for the delay, which is understandable given the current circumstances. The last two claims took about 6 weeks. Personally, I am VERY pleased with that turnaround time. The one thing I think they could improve on is their wait times when calling. I have called twice and my average wait time is about 45 mins. Having a call back option would be beneficial. Overall, I'm very happy with the coverage and I am happy to recommend them to anyone, especially if you are in need of coverage for an older animal. From the bottom of my heart- Thank you Pets Best. My dog is thriving and I am making the most of this extra time with him without the financial strain. We will FURever be grateful <3

Many years ago I was seeking to change Pet Insurance Companies. I checked out Healthy Paws and have been so pleased with the decision to sign our sweet boxer up for coverage. She has not required frequent need for care coverage despite being diagnosed with Megaesophagus. She has had a malignant tumor removed and just recently blew out her ACL requiring joint surgery. Despite age 9 being on the older side for a boxer, she remains very active. The claims process couldn't be more simple! I used my phone app, took a picture of the invoice and sent it. Not thinking I would be placing a claim this year I had not sent a few earlier invoices re a few meds. All were accepted and coverage paid promptly! I could not be happier with service and payment.
