My first time to submit a claim
My first time to submit a claim, they send me emails to give me updates, reassuring me that they are working on my claim and due to Covid they are not able to expedite the process however, I think the whole process was still within a reasonable time. Over all I am a satisfied customer!

quick and efficient
I purchased pet insurance when we got our puppy 2 years ago. Recently, our now 2 year old dog fell really ill. We had to go through 3 days of testing and it was expensive. We were grateful that we had insurance and each day, after the testing, I uploaded the invoice, the vet uploaded the notes and very quickly I received confirmation that the claim was being reviewed. Within 24 hours of each claim (there were 4 in total) I received notification that the claim had been processed and all I need to do now is wait for the checks. What was a very stressful time was made a little easier by the ease of filing the insurance claims and knowing our policy would pay their portion.

Excellent insurance -- glad I have it!
I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for my 2 cats and 2 dogs for the last 4 years. Sadly, one of my animals has had major health problems every year. Healthy Paws has been wonderful. It is easy to submit claims, a decision is made and payment sent within a week. The customer service is outstanding. On Friday the 13th my little dog Pretzel lost the use of her back legs due to a blown out disk in her back. The cost so far is more than $10,000 -- for ER treatment, spinal surgery and dog rehab. Healthy Paws has cheerfully paid 80% of the cost -- much more responsive and efficient than my Blue Cross people insurance!!

So far, I have received two checks reimbursing me for emergency services.
So far, after putting in 4 claims, two were paid as they represented sudden illness. Two were denied as being pre-existing conditions. Checks came very quickly. I cannot complain about service and coverage.

They don't cover common claims, they're incredibly slow (It took them 2.5 months to process my claim), and it takes a while to get someone on the phone. However, the customer service is quite good, so they got upgraded from 1 to 2 stars.

I am so upset and extremely disappointed in Trupanion. Be prepared for off the charts increase in premiums every year. Last October they raised my rates close to 20.00 per per, I have four animals. Now they just did it again. I’m paying almost 200.00 more per month then what I was paying two years ago. When I signed up they told me I would have minimal increases. A total misrepresentation of the truth. Be aware and search around for a company that cares about the middle class and doesn’t cater to the wealthy.

We have had Pets Best for 3 years and completely satisfied. My Golden just went thru dental surgery and I was completely satisfied with the results from my claim. Took about 4 weeks but was handled very professionally. Very happy with the policy.
