Legit Insurance!

I filed my first claim, which was only the cost of a prescription, and it was approved and put toward my $500 annual deductible. It took around two weeks for it to be approved, but they requested a year's worth of medical records from my vet before they would process it. So part of the wait was the delay in medical records. Overall, filing a claim is easy and their website is easy to navigate. I'm confident that the filing of any future claims will go just as smoothly as this one.

claim process

I adopted my dog Oct 2016. I got all here vet records from the day she was born Oct 11,2011 till now. I made 2 claims 1 for allergy & 1 for an eye infection.I emailed all the paperwork I had from the 1st vet I used (VCA, no claim) and all form her vet now for both claims(Eagle MTN) You denied my claim for Soap notes from Eagle MTN , which I have now sent to you weeks ago.Now I check on the claim and you need receipts which were already sent to you in the original email. No email , no call to say you need more info. to process. Hate to see how you will handle a major claim

Silver Lining to an Unexpected Surgery Expense!

Unexpectedly, my 1 1/2 year old cat needed hip and knee surgery. I had no idea how he could have so badly injured both areas of his right leg but luckily I had added him to my insurance policy the day I adopted him as a kitten so he was covered by Healthy Paws! I have three dogs and two other cats. The dogs are considerably older than the cats and I expected they would be the first to need surgery on hips/knees/etc. I was shocked that my healthy, young boy was the first of the six to go under the knife! It was not only heart wrenching to see my young boy in need of a major surgery, it also about stopped my heart to hear the estimate of the surgery. The total came in at $5000, which is a shocking amount to have thrown at you when you're already reeling from hearing about an ACL tear and a dislocated hip. Worse, during surgery, the doctor noticed what could have been cancer in the hip. It was just one tragedy after another for my darling boy. But the silver lining was always Healthy Paws. No matter what medical issue came at us, I knew we were prepared and that I wouldn't have to consider "economic euthanasia" for such a sweet, young cat. (Which is an objective opinion. All the nurses told me what a sweet cat he is :) ) I submitted the claim the day I brought my boy home from surgery. It was incredibly easy. I was actually making dinner while the claim was submitted on the Healthy Paws app. It was a Friday, mid-May 2017. I snapped pictures of the invoices from the diagnostic vet visits and the surgery, uploaded them on the app, and submitted them. They were approved within 48 hours and the next Friday, I had the checks in the mail. After my deductible was taken out of the incurred costs, Healthy Paws reimbursed me for 90% of all other expenses. It sounds like the vet staff at the hospital also could have submitted the claim, so if you do your diagnostic work and surgery at the same place, that may even be easier for you. My regular vet had done the diagnostics and an orthopedic surgeon did the surgery so I submitted the claims myself (and it was still super easy). After the surgery, I found out that my boy is cancer-free, which was such a relief! However, if he had had cancer, my deductible already would have been paid for the year and I would have simply gotten reimbursed for 90% of the treatment costs incurred this year. That is another wonderful aspect of Healthy Paws. The deductible is paid per year instead of per incident

The staff goes above and beyond

That immediate feeling of panic when you go to let your dog in from the backyard...the gate is still shut, but he isn't there, and the rush of helplessness sets in... So many emotion and thoughts swirling...Where is he? How much of a head start does he have? Where do I start? Who do I Call? With my very upset 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter in tow, we started scouring the neighborhood looking for Mojo. I called my husband to let him know that Mo was missing and he rushed home and started talking with the neighbors while I drove around searching. In these types of situations it is very easy to jump to worst case scenarios... is he hurt? Was he taken? Is he lost? Well, Thankfully for Mojo, we had a best case scenario, as he was found running through the townhouse complex, by one of your Pet Plus Us employees and Veterinary Technician, Melissa Long. Not only did Melissa find Mojo, but she went above and beyond to ensure Mo had the best possible care by taking him to the vets so he could get a thorough check up. When unfortunate situations like this happen, it is refreshing to know that there are kind and passionate people out there like Melissa. You have yourselves one truly remarkable employee! Thank you Melissa, you have put a smile on both my children's faces today, and for that I am forever grateful!

Couldn't do it without you

I have had Embrace for almost 2 years and it has been the best thing I could have done. I had to use the insurance multiple times and always had great experiences.They are very fast getting claims processed and customer service is always willing to help. Not often you get that. Thank you Embrace

My Dog is Family

My Shepherd was having severe stomach issues which required an emergency visit to the animal hospital. No worries with her pet insurance I knew she was covered.

Minor Paperwork issues but a great job overall.

Other than paperwork/communication issue which was easily cleared up Embrace has done a great job for us. I noticed some bad reviews when shopping for a company but after reading their policy information it was obvious those were complaints from people who did not understand their own policy. From our experience I would highly recommend Embrace.

Excellent insurance company!
