I highly recommend having an insurance policy that is fair in their premiums and quick to reimburse most of your out of pocket expenses in the case of an accident or injury.

I purchased ASPCA insurance after learning that my three-legged dog had a knee issue. Naturally, this was a pre-existing condition and I paid for her surgery out of pocket. However, my poor pup developed an unrelated neurological issue while both her knee and my budget were still recovering. My budget was already strained, and I am not sure what I would have done if I didn't have ASPCA. They approved the claim quickly after consulting with my vets. This saved me nearly $4,000 after an already costly surgery. The gentleman who called me to follow up on my claim and ask how my pet was doing seemed genuinely concerned. I know he was just following some company policy or schedule, but I still appreciate those nice touches.

If you had asked me a year ago, I would wholeheartedly recommend them. They were fast and easy and fair. Then they got slow and started lying about odd things. This was before this got complicated with my dogs health, then it became hell. I don't know if they changed management or underwriters or just turnover but it just changed. The customer service people are very nice but the claims just went downhill. Their online claims site is amazing and easy and when they do pay, its right into your bank account. The last claim paid was as fast as the first ones but that is the first time in a long time that has happened. If you have a young pet and don't have anything complicated, it might still work. But for me, it's turned into complete heartache and stress at a time i didn't need it. I wasn't trying to pull one over or anything but that's what they made me feel like, which was really unfair and cruel.

I can't say enough about ASPCA Insurance. They have amazing customer service. My puppy was sick and in that stressful time they made everything so easy and comforting. I highly recommend ASPCA to anyone that has a pet.

My dog was insured at around a year and change. He is now almost 6 years old, he had his first issue. A urinary tract infection, when doing that test is showed up his liver enzymes was off. All this was lots of medication and lots of testing. 1. Trupanion after my deductible gave me 90% on everything. 2. There was no scrutiny on what tests nor meds that was covered. 3. The money was back in my account a few days after claim was put in. To have the peace of mind that I can say yes to all tests that is neccessery as opposed to count dollar bills is amazing. I am a professional dog Trainer and have gotten a lot of my clients to insure. Many have 2 3 years later come back and thanked me for it. I'm getting my next puppy in August next year, she will be insured instantly as well.

The ASPCA pet health insurance is very good I think its great. They offer plans at reasonable prices. I think this insurance offers a lot of coverage at least as far as I can see. I am very happy with it. They cover a big chunk of my vet bill. I am very pleased every time I send a claim in. Any time I have had to call the people are very nice and they answer the phone very fast. You will not wait on the phone long at all. A great place for pet insurance.
