Very disorganize pet insurance
This is a very disorganize insurance. They are not familiar with California and they tend to ask for same items many times. If they acn not deunrstand invoices with cero balance they will ask you to provide that which ius almost imporssible then they will email you and close your acse. They imnplemented AI and this does not udnerstand any payment pethods so they will reject your claim There are many veterinarian methods to help pets that are "not" allowed claiming to be holistic in a VERY broad sense, like shock wave that is critical in arthritis to heal and imporve. They hired many agents that are either in training or they do not know the process, and they will transfer your call so you need to ask for a person that5 knows more. If the calims is rejected for not enough docuymentation it will delay refund for another 2 weeks. If you sent by email the calimns then is another 2 weeks. They do not understand either carecredit payments. they do not accept cosco pharmaceuticals because yoour name needs to be in the transcript though you pay with your cc. If you have 2 pets then is worst because you pay for bothe so they can t add 2 plus 2. Almost every submission needs to eb call in, weight and explain the same problem over and over. May agents are very nice and able to follow which is about 40 percent of all agents that answer the phone.

The just keep raising your rates until your forced to cancel.
My next renewal is a 70% increase!!! This company just continually raises your rates until your forced to cancel and it takes months to pay on any claims.

It was so easy to file a claim
It was so easy to file a claim! I’ve always avoided Pet Insurance for years because I just didn’t think it was worth it, but WOW was I wrong! This is the best investment I’ve made in a while. My puppy had to have an unexpected urgent appointment for an ear infection, and it was so nice to have the peace of mind knowing that I wouldn’t have to cover the full financial burden alone. & actually filing the claim was a breeze. I had the payment in my account not even 3 days after I finished submitting what they needed. It was great!!!

Sometimes, be less of a business.
We lost our dog to kidney disease 10 days ago. Trupanion sent an email saying they would refund the premium I paid for May. I thought this was a really nice thing to do for a grieving pet owner who has been paying Trupanion premiums for over 15 years. The refund difference would have been under $40 . Turns out they only prorated the premium and charged me for 5 days. I'm only getting a partial refund. I called customer service and got a "this is how it works" explanation at least 4 times. 15 years+ ago I find this business that tries to give the impression that they care about pets, is mostly interested in the money. And they're expensive. I enrolled my dog as a puppy but as my dog aged the premiums went up and at the end I was paying over $200 a month. So you can see how that $40 would effect a multi million dollar company's bottom line. I had been with this company for so long and I thought they really had some empathy for people who lost their pets but ultimately, that's not the case. I will not refer anyone to Trupanion again. I hear Nationwide has pretty good rates and generous coverage.

We love Metlife Petlife
Met life has been great for my pup, Carmela Marie. It is very expensive to have your dog properly vaccinated and spayed - it's nice to get some money back! We call her insurance, Petlife.

No customer loyalty
I jave maily had good experiences with healthy paws. We have been with them for 7 years and now our policy is changing. It understandable that changes to future policies may need to be made. Current customers should be grandfathered in to the policy they have. Very disappointed with the changes and no loyalty to customers.

It was great till it wasn’t anymore…
It was great till it wasn’t anymore… They changed my pets coverage last year cos the plan I had them under no longer was offered. Now they don’t cover anything, wellness or injury it never gets covered, they play games and won’t notify you if there’s a request for information so you have to constantly be on them. They denied coverage for one of my dogs that had a UTI citing that because he had an ear infection as a pup it was a pre existing condition. My other dog had to have emergency surgery, of almost $7000 I got back $800. In my opinion they are borderline scammers

Horrible company
The claims process is ridiculous and long and at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what you submit because they will just deny it any way. Absolutely shameless. They are stealing from people who don’t have money to spare and then they have to pay for insurance that does nothing and also for their pets medical bills. Pumpkin pet insurance you should be ashamed of yourselves. I don’t know how I’m going to take care of my cat now because you have been stealing from me for months and I do not have money to cover my cats vet bills now. Disgusting.
