Fantastic, easy process.
Major needed to have diagnostics done to rule out some serious problems. Trupanion worked with our vet to pre-approve the procedures in a few hours, despite the bill being thousands of dollars. After everything was done, they completed the claim and paid over $5000 within a day. Major and I are very happy with Trupanion - and I'm glad that Major is able to get the best care possible!

First time getting pet insurancere and so far so good!
Honestly, the thought of paying monthly for pet insurance seemed.....dumb! I mean everyone said so. But I can't express how great full I am I don't listen to other people, and that I have Nation Wide! I would be about 3k in debt right now if I didn't have them. My fur child, due to no fault of his own has had to go to the vet for illnesses. Nationwide makes filing a claim easy and fast and I've been paid back every cent they promised to cover under our policy! The staff is super friendly and easy to talk to. Anyone with a pet who doesn't have some kind of coverage I would say is just plain.....well dumb! Thank you nation Wide!

I obtained policies for my two Weimaraner puppies beginning in 2004 when Nationwide was previously VPI. VPI was excellent and I have been so pleased that Nationwide Pet Insurance has conducted themselves in the same compassionate, and professional manner. Nationwide is receptive to questions/concerns and is responsive and pro active in their delivery of service. I have not had a negative experience and when I've needed help in regard to a rather complex claim, I spoke to Jennifer,a supervisor who quickly and efficiently solved the issue. Without reservation, I will continue to insure any future pets with Nationwide. I strongly believe that pet insurance is a wise decision. It has helped me to provide comprehensive healthcare for my fur babies.

Real Review - Claim was fully covered!
I previously had a puppy that died from lepto. Our Vet costs were $7000, and when we got a new puppy, we decided pet insurance was a must. I decided to go with Figo because they were one of the few companies to cover ‘exam fees’. You’ll find that most policies do not, or that they’re more expensive. We chose the ultimate plan with a $200 deductible, and 90% payout. It cost about $650 a year. It’s important to note there is a 14 day waiting period for illnesses and 5 days for injury. In our case, our puppy had a reaction to some of the vaccines he was given. Our claim occurred on the day after the waiting period ended. It was perfect and poor timing. I was worried I would to have to go back and fourth with the insurance company during the claims process, but instead the claim was approved and paid in a week. Claim was made on 9/4. Approved on 9/7 and Payment was received on 9/11. Our bill was $540, $133 of which was exam fees. After the deductible, Figo covered the rest ($286). I’m extremely pleased with the prompt service. In addition, Figo has a 6 month waiting period for knee and hip problems, however it can be waived if your vet writes a note indicating your dog is healthy and has no issues. You need to email customer support within the first 30 days of the policy. I sent that in, and it was approved as well. Email response is prompt and knowledgeable. They sent me an email asking for a review, so here it is. They’ve done right by me. Recommend, and as always keep all documentation to avoid any problems.
