It's amazing
It's amazing how seamless claim submittal works with Trupanion. My vet sends in the claim and within 24-48 hours, I receive notice with an explanation of any deductibles and what will be paid. Wish my health insurance worked this way!

Wonderful claims service.
Your claims service is wonderful. I can submit a claim and within 5 days I have payment. Cooper was a rescue from the south. He has had a colonoscopy and endoscopy to determine that he basically has IBS for dogs. The service provided to me from Pet's Best made a bad situation better. Cooper is now happy and healthy!

Easy to file a claim.
It was very easy to file a claim on the website. We just wrote a short description of what happened and uploaded the receipt and within 4 or 6 days we received an email explaining the payments

Trupanion is very busy
I chose this because I am on the fence about having pet insurance. I would caution anyone interested that more often than not claims are kicked back because of some obscure justification that the issue was pre-existing. If Trupanion is very busy, like I am, there is no time to fight this and you end up feeling that Trupanion is throwing your money away on the monthly premiums which go up drastically as your pet ages. I think it is better for someone to start this when their dog is young, so this is less likely to be an issue. If pet is already up there in age, like mine was when we started insurance, I am not sure it really makes sense. The question I thought I was answering however, was how was my call with Gina. To that I will say that she was exemplary! She showed concern and compassion and was excellent at customer service. She gets 5 stars from me.
