Horrible company
Horrible company. Before moving forward with services at the vet, we specifically called and asked multiple questions to confirm what would and would not be covered. We relied on the information given to us over the phone, only to later find out the coverage was denied. When we called back for help, the representatives offered no real solution, refused to escalate the issue to a supervisor, and would not review the recorded calls to verify what we had originally been told. On top of that, they also refused to fully cover our puppy’s required vaccinations, claiming we had somehow already maxed out the vaccine coverage. Extremely disappointing customer service and communication overall.

The online Spot app is user friendly!
Unfortunately, my doggy had an illness that I had to file a claim after seeing a vet. I went online to file the claim and Spot made it very user friendly by having everything easy to use, and the claim was processed quickly and efficiently.

Pets Best is gone down hill 😢
This pet insurance company used to be great. I’ve been with them for over 15 years, but lately things have really gone downhill. The app has become a total disaster compared to previous years — it only works when it wants to. Claims that used to take just a few days are now taking weeks or even months, even for simple vaccination reimbursements. It’s just not the same company experience anymore. I’m still staying with them hoping things improve, but so far I honestly haven’t seen much change. Even customer service has gotten worse compared to what it used to be. Maybe it’s because the company has grown so much over the years, I don’t know, but I truly hope they can get things back on track.

The best option by far
After using a few other pet insurance companies and having less than ideal experiences, I can confidently say that Prudent Pet far exceeds the low bar I had set for expectations. First, they’re affordable! The coverage is excellent for the price I pay. They’ve covered things I didn’t think would be covered. The claims submission process is easy, and the turnaround on re-payment is just days most of the time. Other insurers I’ve dealt with I’ve had to wait weeks or even months to be reimbursed! Most importantly, a human actually answers the phone when you call and everyone I’ve dealt with there over the past few years has been so pleasant and so kind no matter the question or issue. I really can’t say enough good things and as a dog owner for the last twenty years, I recommend them to everyone.

We didn’t really need pet insurance much until this past year when our dog got sick. During such a stressful time trying to focus on getting him healthy again, Healthy Paws made the process seamless and easy. They were honestly the least of our worries. The claims process was simple, fast, and reliable. Claims were reviewed and approved very quickly, and the explanations provided were always clear and detailed.
