I was AMAZED

I was AMAZED. I have fortunately not had to use our pet insurance before. I got it when our dog was a puppy and he is 7 years old now. So, needless to say, I did not know what to expect. He recently had a growth pop up on the back of his leg at one of his joints. It required minor surgery and thankfully, the growth was benign. We paid the invoice at the vets office. Once we knew there wouldn't be any additional related invoices, I submitted the paperwork online one evening about 8:30 pm. I had an email from Trupanion around 3:30 am (7 hours'ish later) approving the claim. And the funds were deposited into our account the next day. I can't ask for better or quicker service on our claim. Hopefully, we won't have to submit another for a very long time. But it's good to know that we have a great pet insurance with exceptional service.

Worst claim assistance ever

Easy to file a claim, but easier for them to deny the claim. Simply ridiculous how because an emergency vet didn't respond to petsbest email attempts the canceled and denied my claim. They never called the vet, but they expected me to do all their work after they tried. What am I paying you for? Adios and good riddance to scammy non helpful pet insurance companies.
