So very grateful for the ease when paying the vet bill for my boy. The last thing anyone wants to worry about when an emergency situation occurs, is the cost. In a matter of minutes, a large portion of the emergency visit was taken care, no questions, no problems at all. Much relieved to take the dog I love home, and thankful for the people at trupanion, Thank you!

Total scam and waste of money. This company is awful and didn't reimburse me for any of my 25 claims.
I researched and researched the companies before purchasing for our new labrador. I followed all of their instructions, sent in all my claims, wasted so much time doing so and getting receipts and submitting and calling customer service. I've had about $8K in bills in the first year of my dogs life, and there was always a "disclaimer" or "read the fine print" that prevented them from reimbursing anything. I sent in about 25 claims, and every single one of them was denied. Not only did I receive nothing in return and pay the $978 for the year, but I wasted SO much time in dealing with them. They''re an awful company and a scam. Save yourself the time and frustration of getting "we denied your claim" 35 times, and wasting another $1K on nothing in the first year of a dogs life.

Saved us thousands!
Our dog is 9 years old and she has been insured by Trupanion since we brought her home as a puppy. At about a year she developed a seizure disorder. Trupanion has saved us thousands and thousands of dollars! Never a quibble about claims and prompt payment is always delivered.

Literal lifesavers
I have been with Pumpkin for over 5 years and have had them for 5 animals. They have helped me save and prolong the life of my cats. When one of my cats did pass they sent condolences, a candle and got in contact with me. I have never had to fight for treatment, claims are quick and they continue to help me save my pets and give me peace of mind. I wouldn't have pets without insurance and I will constantly choose pumpkin. They have saved me over $30,000 easily and they have been so very kind.

They did just what they promised
They did just what they promised. They were there when our cat was having a heat attack. The claims filed through the vet and paid everything but our deductible just like they said. They even checked up on our cat. Love them.

This was my first claim with MetLife…
This was my first claim with MetLife Pet insurance. I had to upload 7 pages of data from the adoption/rescue group on my dog's health and two invoices from my own vet, along with his SOAP. The last item didn't get uploaded correctly. However, the claim adjuster completely overlooked the heartworm prevention shot on my claim. It took 3 phone calls to get that matter corrected. The good news is the persons I talked to on each call were very pleasant and understanding and indicated they were going to fix the problem, so I give a shout out to Morgan, Danisha, and Ben for your helpfulness. Ben especially explained how the preventation tests are grouped together for a total of $65.00. I misread the policy there. Hopefully, any future claims will be dealt with more efficiency in the adjuster's dept.

Impossible to cancel policy without calling and they're closed frequently
Decent pricing but we just simply weren't using it. After years of spending thousands of dollars on insurance, canceling was a massive headache. There's no option on the website to cancel your policy, nor to message/email them requesting thus, so you're stuck calling them - And then, you're restricting to their office hours. We might eventually enroll in insurance again when our dog gets older, but we won't be using ASPCA simply due to the headache it is to cancel a policy.
