MetLife has been fantastic
MetLife has been fantastic. Every time I submit my pet’s receipts, the reimbursement shows up within 24 hours. It’s fast, easy, and gives me real peace of mind.

Very difficult to submit with mobile app
Every time I submit claims individually whatever the review process is there is somebody that comes through it's not randomly generated by the computer and they start naming items and it gets very confusing because you know you've submitted something and it disappears and you end up resubmitting it and then I've had where they claim they don't have what they need but it's already submitted. And then they combine claims that shouldn't be combined because they're under another dog's name. The other concern is it appears that some of these representatives are working at home because you can hear children in the background. How is our information safe like that?

Customer CARE
My representative, Jeff, was incredibly helpful. He listened to my needs and guided me to a plan that perfectly suited those needs. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. I couldn't have asked for better customer care-- not just customer service-- customer CARE!

Healthy PAWS has been a great pet…
Healthy PAWS has been a great pet insurance company to deal with, they have been very responsive concerning claims. They typically reimburse you within 1 to 3 days of filing your claim. I have two dogs currently insured through healthy paws, and I would highly recommend them.

Bad customer service
My first claim, there were five invoices, the total claim was $1392.59. The policy I bought was “Annual” deduction $700.00, 90% . Fetch staff charged $1049.88, when I did the online chat with a human Lisa told me she saw the error, but she has to file a reassessment form and it will take 30 days for a correction. I then phoned and was informed that that information was correct. Even though she saw the error, and said she saw that the form had been filed it would take 30 days to get corrected. That is ridiculous. I was not upset about the error. Mistakes are made, but taking 30 days to make a correction is in my opinion incorrigible. Shame on Fetch. I am pretty sure that they would not pay a claim if I made my premium 30 days late.

Habit of stalling claims asking for records already provided
I am incredibly frustrated with the constant stalling tactics and runaround from Pet's Best. They repeatedly request medical records that have already been provided to them multiple times. In December 2025, I took my dog to VCA for a sore paw and sent the paperwork to Pet's Best, I have a $500 deductible and knew that wouldn’t matter, but I wanted for them to have it on record. In May 2026, he went back to VCA, was diagnosed with allergies, and was prescribed Apoquel. For my first claim in May, I submitted the VCA bill and the Tractor Supply Apoquel receipt since it was cheaper from Tractor Supply vs buying it from the vet. Pet's Best claimed they did not receive the vet notes. I contacted VCA, who sent them, and I also personally uploaded the VCA exam notes and his full prior shot records just to be safe. I take my dogs to Pet Vet for their yearly shots because it is cheaper than the vet’s office. In June 2026, I submitted a new claim for his monthly Apoquel prescription refill. A few days later, Pet's Best halted the claim, demanding the May 2026 doctor's notes on VCA letterhead. They literally already had these on file from the first claim. Every time I submit a routine prescription refill, they pause the claim and demand the exact same historic vet notes they already verified. It is an exhausting, repetitive cycle designed to delay applying anything toward my deductible. Do better.

It was our first claim filed
It was our first claim filed, so there was a bit of a learning curve on the process. The customer service people were very helpful explaining the steps for the paperwork required from the vet, filing and how to upload each section . The claim was approved ahead of the procedure and is in the payment process. The detailed coverage explanation of deductible amounts, co-pay and paid amount on claim is clear.
