Emergency Vet Visit
My dog got sick out of nowhere and we had to take him to the emergency vet - which can be so expensive, but we were afraid to wait until his vet opened in the morning. He received diagnostics and care to rule out anything that needed immediate action and we were able to get him to the vet that knows him best the next day. Pets Best makes this kind of immediate care for our boy possible! I was able to upload the bill from both visits to make my claims and it was very simple and handled quickly. Thank you for helping us afford to care for our dog like this!

I spent a lot of time looking at the various Pet Insurance providers, but I still felt like so much of the decision depended on the unknowns that I was trying to insure against! So I can't really remember what convinced me to go with MetLife Pet at that time, but I've had nothing but positive experiences after this first year. I'm really, REALLY glad that I got pet insurance right from the beginning, and that would probably be true no matter which company I purchased insurance through. That being said, I've had no issues submitting claims or being reimbursed under my plan, and I'm glad I picked one that's been working so well for us.

Good Plans, Poor Claims Processing
While the plans and coverage are more straight-forward than some, the claims process is very challenging. The same items will be covered in some cases, but not in others. Multiple items in the same claim will sometimes be processed, other times missed altogether. If items are missed, then an appeal is required, which takes more time and up to 30 days to complete. All of these claims issues significantly degrade the overall experience.
