MetLife Pet Insurance is not honest
MetLife Pet Insurance is not honest. They will take your money and find every excuse to deny your claim. Do not use MetLife Pet Insurance! First they will say it’s past the time period. Then they’ll say it’s not prescription food when receipt clearly states prescription food for medical necessity. Then they’ll say prove it’s prescription after the receipt clearly states it is and is directly from vet with vet letter head. Even after getting a note from vet stating it’s prescription food they’ll deny. They say it’s pre existing and not covered. My policy states prescription food is covered and I was verbally told it would be covered. MetLife pet insurance will find an excuse (in some way) to not uphold their end. It’s better to save your money. I spent $10k with them and they wouldn’t process a minimal amount of prescription food purchases directly from my vet when the policy clearly is to cover it.

Great Pet Insurance
We’ve had MetLife pet insurance for a few years now for our dogs and we are happy with their service and speedy time to reimburse us! My mom also had her cat under their insurance. I recommend them to people who have pets!

Healthy Paws claim process…
Healthy Paws had excellent claim starting information on the home page. What was not covered on the home page was quickly relayed through email by customer service. The claim was quickly reviewed and approved with limited additional information needing to be sent. I can not thank Healthy Paws enough for their help and understanding during this trying time.
