Outstanding Customer experience

Submitting claims were flawless, the app and website is easy to use and clear on direction. Also when I called to talk to a live representative, the feedback was first towards caring about my pets condition and the rep was able to address my concerns without hesitation. Great service multiple times

We have had to use Trupanion for two different dogs (and scenarios) and in both cases found them very easy and efficient to work with. We are getting approvals within 12 hours and reimbursements within 48. I cannot imagine how they could work any better. Highly recommended.

Beware!

Unless you are insuring a puppy with absolutely no health issues, Figo will deny every claim by stating there is a pre existing condition. I had a rescue dog that I did not know any of her health history. She had a little arthritis, controlled with Carprofen. I learned of a small heart murmur on her first vet visit, she was fine for a year, suddenly developed congestive heart failure, had an emergency vet visit that cost several thousands of dollars. Figo somehow found her old records from the rescue organization that I had never seen and denied every single vet appointment and the emergency vet bill stating all were pre existing conditions. When I called them from the emergency vet they said they would cover 70%. I spent $50 a month for a premium that was completely useless. This company is a scam. Be very careful.

So far so good and no complaints

We've had 90% positive experiences in telephone communication. Out of say 20 calls from when we were signing up and had questions and through a few claims that we submitted we've only had one negative communication with them. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs to ensure their pets. We will have our renewal come May and we will see what the increase will be. But so far we have no complaints
