Claim Rejection for completely…
Claim Rejection for completely unrelated issue. We had our dog endure a full check up PRIOR to joining Spot Pet Insurance and she was given a clear bill of health. Some months after joining she developed an abscess in her mouth which resulted in her needing surgery to remove the tooth. our claim was rejected because the initial medical report we had done prior to joining Spot had remarked "Minor Tartar" on her teeth. This was enough for Spot to deny the claim. I am extremely disappointed that the link between minor tartar and a severe abscess is reason for denial. This is akin to linking long paw nails to reason for denial of a broken leg. !!

"The claim process was user friendly and easy to understand in terms of my pet's vaccination fee coverage. Each vaccine was itemized to show what vaccines were covered by Pets Best and what was not covered to give me a complete understanding of the reimbursement process. Pets Best comes through again
Pets Best continues to be one of the best decisions I have made when it comes to my Bulldog Merlin. Ease of filing, quick approval, and payment typically within a week. 2 1/2 years in and I continue to be very happy with their service.

Best Insurance is Pets Best!
I've had Pets Best for several years now because I want peace of mind four my pups health. Our oldest has had surgery twice in 4 years. He is a teacup Yorkie. Both times surgery was our only option. The costs without insurance were over 10k total. Pets Best reimbursed us 90%! That is life changing! Knowing that our pup will always be safe and covered is worth every penny! Claims are easy and the process is completely transparent. The APP is easy to use and I couldn't be happier!!
Cancer
My dog was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. She had to undergo surgery, then radiation and then numerous CT scans. She has continued seeing an oncologist over the last two years to ensure the cancer doesn't return. Pets Best has been a lifesaver for us and for her. We've had nothing but a positive experience.

Getting to expensive.
After paying $75 a month for insurance (which is getting more difficult to pay, being retired), I was very disappointed that I ended up having to pay most of the vet bill for my cat when I took her in because she was having problems. I reread the policy and the fact that Trupanion does not cover the office visit makes no sense to me. What’s the purpose of having insurance? On the positive side, I was impressed with the expediency of Trupanion’s turnaround time.
