Stay as far away from this insurance as possible, excuse after excuse for why a claim is not paid! Spent over $10,000 on vet bills and was only reimbursed $300, total scam! Takes forever to get a claim paid too, 2 months plus!

For a reasonable price, MetLife Pet Insurance has paid the claims for my 12-year old cat in a timely manner and has made possible the diagnostic work and treatment he needs.

have had healthy PAWS pet insurance for over 3 years I got it right before I purchased my goldendoodle puppy. Unfortunately he has a lot of health issues mainly skin itching, chronic ear infections, and digestive issues. Healthy paws has been fantastic with what they cover and how quickly they reimburse. They even now and then check in to see how your dog is feeling! Highly recommend Healthy Paws!

This was my second claim with MetLife Pet and the experience was the same as the first - Excellent. After submitting copies of the invoice and SOAP from my vet, the claim was processed timely and paid as expected. I am very happy to have selected MetLife Pet for my puppy's pet insurance.

I agree with other reviewers - Trupanion used to be great. Now they are ZERO STARS. I had them with my second furbbaby and never had a problem. I got them again with my third kid. I just realized that AFTER THE FIRST MONTH, Trupanion raised my premium (automatic deduction) $25 WITHOUT NOTICE AND MY CONSENT. I only realized this when they sent me a notification they would be raising my premium AGAIN THIS YEAR. I thought they were raising it $30, but it's actually $10 because THEY ALREADY RAISED IT $25 WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!!! They want me to pay $85/month. FOR A TWO YEAR OLD DOG. FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN GREED. We have NEVER FILED A CLAIM BEFORE. These people admit there is a PHONE RECORDING of our price conversation BUT REFUSE TO LET ME HEAR IT. I am considering suing them. By the way, this all started because of DR SMITH who wrote something in his medical report when he was 5 MONTHS OLD. He TWO AND WE'VE HAD NO ISSUES. DONT USE TRUPANION AND CATS AND DOGS IN LONG BEACH. PLEASE READ ALL BBB COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS COMPANY. After some pricey oral surgery for our 8 year old Golden Retriever who fractured a tooth, we filed our 1st significant claim with Healthy Paws. The process was very straight forward. We just uploaded the invoices and the medical report our vet gave us. We were impressed with how fast the claim was handled and reimbursement was received. They even followed up asking how our dog was recovering. We are so thankful we had the insurance with Healthy Paws! After this experience, we would definitely recommend them.
