I don’t want to have to use my insurance. If I do it means my dog is sick or injured and that just breaks my heart. However, having Lemonade as our pet’s insurance company has been a big relief to us. The claims process is easier than ordering a drink at Starbucks for my wife. And I think I get reimbursed faster too. I have never had insurance for my dogs in the past but based on my experience with Lemonade I will have it from now on.

For my prior pet, I had a different pet insurance carrier and they were OK, but payouts were small, slow and cumbersome to file. I asked the vet tech caring for my dog what insurance she recommended; she was very enthusiastic about Trupanion.That pet died some years ago, and when I got a new dog, I signed up for Trupanion. At the time, I thought they were a bit expensive and last year, I even considered dropping their insurance, as the premium increases a little yearly. Thank goodness I didn't! I took my dog to the vet earlier this year for tummy issues and it turned out it was Irritable Bowel Disease. He had to be referred to an internist, and testing was prolonged and very expensive. I would have had to go into debt to pay for it all, but Trupanion didn't just step up to the plate, they made the claims process so easy, and they reimbursed directly to my checking account, usually within just a few days of each claim. The contrast with my prior pet insurance was pretty dramatic. After this experience, I'm a Trupanion customer for life!

I bought pet insurance last year when I rescued my dog. My cousin highly recommended Healthy Paws. I could not be happier with Healthy Paws! My dog was unexpectedly sick, requiring a lot of tests, and then I had to take her in for an emergency vet appointment when she ate chocolate from my purse. I didn't have to worry about the cost because of my pet insurance. The whole process is seamless - I upload my vet bills through the Healthy Paws app or website and they promptly issue the reimbursement.

I've had Healthy Paws for 6 years now for my German Shepherd. Unfortunately she was born with Addisons which requires expensive monthly visits to the vet. This company has been absolutely fabulous to deal with since I first signed up with them. My Australian Kelpie, Santolina Nell, a rescue, shortly after we got her, developed a cancerous kidney and had to have it removed. They took care of the claim in record time, and each time the sweet old girl has had an issue, there settlement time, payout, has been as good as it can get. I cannot recommend them enough. Not only have the settle the claims each and every time, but their coverage is truly the only reason she has been able to live this long. Without this insurance, I would not have been able to "keep" her this long. I am so very grateful to have found them and chosen this company to give my dog the best care possible.
