Easy Submit Process
I’m really pleased with the level of service and the ease of claims submitted using the mobile app as it has improved a lot the last year. Pricing is comparable to others, no issues with claims in for years and i feel it’s a good value for the price. I especially appreciate that Embrace has a relationship with USAA which i feel indicates that they’re held to an extremely high standard of doing business.

Filed a claim on 8-6-20 still waiting for claim to be approved. Called company left a voicemail to be called back and never heard back from them. Called today on 9-29-20 and have been on hold for 45 minutes and no one has picked up. They take my payment every month and I always pay on time and they have no problem in taking my money. I have always believed in the ASPCA and have supported them and now I would not ever refer them or donate to them again. Going to look for a new pet health insurance company.

Look for options
First of all I like to say that they make buying insurance an easy transaction however all that ease changes once you submit claims. All wellness claims are processed automatically by a computer thus denies every claim, pretty much because it does not recognize that you have endorsed coverage. Secondly, you wait for hours on the phone whenever you are calling to clarify or appeal a claim deicison made by a silly computer. Then, to just be told that they will correct it and that can take up to 2 more weeks, on top of the 2-3 weeks that you have already been waiting for the initial claim decision. I am not sure what is the hold up since you are providing all documentation that most likely all comes from licensed veterinarians. I do not ever recall a company taking this long to reimburse someone for coverages that they specifically chose to purchase on their plan. Please look for options before choosing to settle for PetsBest. Sorry for the long review, but until the correct these issues, I will be an unsatisfied customer.

I love Trupanion! My claims are processed quickly and without problems. If there is ever a question about the claim I call and I get the best customer service in the world. Huge waste of money
I have been with Embrace for close to two years and submitted my first claim, only to finally receive an email about his “medical history review” where they essentially pour over every chart and exclude all “pre-existing conditions.” Our dog had a tiny lump on his leg years ago that the vet said was likely just a fatty mass and was too small to biopsy. Fast forward to this past spring when the lump started to grow/harden and we found out it was cancerous and needed to be removed. For the $39 a month that I’ve been throwing away on this company, I could have paid for his medical bills instead, not to mention saved the hours we spent filling out all of their paperwork to submit claims. There is clearly a reason why you can’t leave reviews on their Facebook page.

Easy claim process
We signed up for Healthy Paws insurance a few months ago for our dog. With 2020 being the year that it is, we had to take our dog to the ER twice and she had to undergo TPLO surgery. All claims were paid out easily by Healthy Paws and I found the claim submission process very convenient - no back and forth for the medical records, they dealt with the vet directly. The monthly premium is not cheap IMO, but it was comparable to other pet insurance providers when I shopped around.

Saved our pups life!
We adopted our first puppy and decided to get pet insurance shortly after. About a month after bringing home our rescue, our very playful chihuahua/terrier mix had a seizure. It totally scared us, so we took her to the vet and they immediately suggested taking her to the pet hospital. Her seizures got worse that day and the hospital had to give her shots and do bloodwork. They kept her two nights (around 1200/night) to keep her stabilized and for observation. The bloodwork showed she had a liver shunt and needed this operation asap (6k for the surgery). This being our first puppy ever, we had no idea what to do or how we were going to pay for this! Thankfully, the pet insurance became active a week or so before our pup had a seizure. We filed our first claim to help cover her hospital visit and was so surprised at how helpful and sweet the folks were who helped us file a claim. They really cared about our little pup and to this date have covered the majority of $10,125+ of our puppy’s medical bills in just the last month and a half!!! We are very grateful to have chosen healthy paws as our insurance and could not have saved our pups life without it!!
