We have had our dog since July 2012. She has been under the care of the same vet since the day we adopted her. She blew her ACL at 9 months old. Both her primary treating vet and the surgeon who repaired the knee said over and over again that this was an accident and not a pre-existing condition. Our vet contacted Embrace on multiple occasions and told them the same. Embrace denied the claim across the board. Earlier this month the same dog had a UTI. It was her second one in a year. Under Embrace's policy, this too was considered a pre-exiting condition. Again, claim denied. The only thing they have not denied is my automatic payment to a worthless policy every month! Now we're screwed for getting new coverage. BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY INSURANCE unless you like throwing money into a black hole! If you don't believe me, read the below which was taken directly from their denial e-mail to me. A snippet of their denial letter: I have reviewed Gabby's claim along with your pet insurance policy and based upon that review, I am sorry to inform you that this claim is not covered under your policy. Gabby's medical history indicates that she had signs of polyuria (i.e. increased urination) on 5/13/2013, which was prior to the start of your policy coverage. They even lowered my monthly premium because I moved to a different part of the city. Signing up for Healthy Paws was the best decision we made for our dog. She recently had to go through surgery and believe it or not (if you're used to dealing with human insurance) dealing with Heathy Paws was extremely easy and simple. They covered everything that was expected, were extremely responsive, typically approved charges the next day with a check in my mailbox a few days after, and even emailed to ask how our dog was feeling. I've recommended healthy paws to all of my pet owning friends and would do the same to anyone reading this review.

I have never had to use Embrace for any serious treatment for my dog. However for a multitude of wellness checks and minor issues, Embrace has been wonderful. It's easy to submit a claim and they are usually processed in a timely manner. Thank you, Embrace!

Embrace has been wonderful. My dog became very ill one day last month. We rushed him that Tuesday evening to the VCA emergency animal hospital. Getting the VCA to fax over the paperwork has been a little difficult, but once it was in Embrace definitely did their part. I really like the email communication as they keep you updated each step of the way while processing your reimbursement. I absolutely recommend Embrace pet insurance with no hesitations!

My dog just had his second TPLO surgery. I received a refund in less than two weeks. Embrace is easy to use and hassle free. I have recommended them to all my friends!

Our dog is having Boxer Colitis. The bills have been climbing and without Trupanion I do not know what we would do. We will have Trupanion for every dog we have from this point forward.
