Great service
Always great service and never have a problem with any of my claims. Peace of mind knowing I have coverage whenever I go to the Vets office. Taking care of my dog and keeping him healthy and happy is very important to me and my family.!

Thank you for your prompt attention to my claim!
Nationwide Pet Insurance has responded promptly and efficiently to every claim I have submitted. I have seen a significant improvement in 2020 in the amount of time between submitting a claim and receiving the benefit payment in my bank account.

Provide the customer with more information, besides this is normal practice
Normally I had not had much of an issue with receiving my claims with Nationwide at all... I thought it was the best service yet. This even includes the fact that I have had pet insurance for my cats for 3 years now and have never used it once until recently and still have not had a reimbursement from Nationwide on my cats. This last claim I had with my dog Colette I was extremely disappointed. It took them from 12/29/2019 to March 2019 to reimburse me for the visit. Every time I called I only got stonewalled with this is a normal practice. I just wanted to know why they were asking for medical records not once but twice even though I had already explained I did everything they asked me to do since adopting my puppy. They still felt I was deceiving them and that I had the dog go somewhere else to be treated that I was not telling them about. This disappoints me because the only thing I have ever done was to be completely open and honest with this company and follow everything they had asked of me. I understand the review but when I ask why and the only thing a manager could tell me was this is normal practice and not the actual reason why they needed me to send not only all of my dogs medical records but also a letter stating that we had not brought the dog to some other place to be checked out, was really disappointing. this could have been taken care of more than a month before had they just been open with me and came right out and asked me this information. They said it was normal to have this review fo the second claim.. this was the 5th claim. Just disappointed in this place now, I definitely will tell those that ask me about the pet insurance of my experience for clarity on what they will face if they decide to go with this company

Lucky vs. Hemangiosarcoma
Last May our beloved 12-year-old Lucky went into the vet after acting strangely for weeks. We received the worst news when she was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma. She required immediate emergency surgery to remove her hemorrhaging spleen and even after that her prognosis was 4 months. Her cancer was coupled with stage 3 kidney disease. We managed her health by cooking her meals twice a day with a dozen supplements added and monitoring her bloodwork monthly. When people would visit they could not believe she was even ill. She made it until her 13th birthday in January before she started showing signs of illness again, so much further than her original prognosis. She was showing serious signs of illness yet we went to a handful of doctors and none were able to pin it down. One Saturday morning I woke up and looked at Lucky to see her gums were completely pale white. We went to the emergency vet to find she was internally bleeding-and quite badly. We were referred to another vet down the road to perform an ultrasound which confirmed our fears, the cancer was back and her liver was hemorrhaging. There was one last Hail Mary if we could swing it. Blue Pearl had a surgeon that could perform this operation and possibly save her. We drove her to the facility, they performed the surgery and two weeks later she went swimming in our pool. I can say, without a doubt that without Healthy Paws we would not have been able to do this for her. I never received a single denied claim, only amazing customer service and quick turnaround. We received reimbursement within 2 weeks for every single claim. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone reading this, they are an amazing company that truly loves pets

NATIONWIDE WAS SO EASY AND FAST ON MY CLAIM
My Yorkie had to have emergency spinal surgery. Having pet insurance literally saved his life. I submitted my bill (from 3 places) and a few days later they had already sent a check. No hassle. EASIEST PROCESS EVER!! It gives me much more peace of mind and I am able to just focus on snuggling my sweet little guy. 10/10 would recommend!
