Thankful for ASPCA Pet Insurance

When my cat Fluffy got mouth cancer the treatment and medications were very expensive as well as the surgeries.I am so glad Fluffy was insured with ASPCA. They covered a lot of the expenses until the end.

what a relief

I can't tell you how grateful I am to have Embrace Pet Insurance. My 18 month old golden has had to have P.T. and Embrace was with me all the way. I can sleep at night because I have Embrace!

Properly cared for dog

I was warned that white dogs, particularly white boxers could be medical nightmares, particularly throughout puppyhood. Well, Shane is 17 days away from turning 1 and he's had: coccidia, giardia, a rash, and ear infection, an eye infection, enteritis, an abscess on his foot, preputial discharge and 2 weeks ago he decided he wasn't strong enough to do anything but lay down. This lasted 4 days with minor, gradual improvements from day to day but it scared the daylights out of me and he ended up getting 2 rounds of blood work done. The first labs came back very poor and I was sent to Animal Medical Center for a more thorough checkup. Well, by the time we got to AMC Shane was asymptomatic but they ran the 2nd round of blood tests and they were a little better, but still inconclusive. What was conclusive was that he has a heart murmur that I should get a baseline test for and watch as he ages. (Not uncommon in boxers.) All this being said, I'm not sure what I'd do without Embrace. There are a couple things I looked for when comparing the various insurance companies: 1. Exam fee is covered and 2. NOT a per incident deductible. That disqualified 98% of the other companies. I was left with 2 and Embrace had a higher cap on hip dysplasia (which boxers are prone to), so Embrace won .. not to mention Christopher's incredible customer service and knowledge about not just Embrace's policies, but their competitor's policies. In the coming years I am positive Embrace will make money off of

Not too bad, for pet insurance.

Embrace pet insurance is very quick to respond to claims, and they have great customer service. However, like all insurance, there is a never-ending list of "pre-existing conditions" and non-covered conditions. I understand that this is how all insurance works, but I sometimes wonder why I am spending about $1000 per year before any benefits begin to kick in ($35/month + $500 deductible). If anything catastrophic were to happen, I am sure Embrace will come in handy, but in the meantime, I wish there were more affordable pet insurance plans.

Don't enroll with this company

Let me start of by saying that at the onset and throughout my affiliation with 24 Pet Watch, my puppy had no pre-existing conditions and was in perfect health. The reason I decided on health insurance for my dog was simply to be prudent. Enrollment seemed quick and easy, but 24 Pet Watch fumbled the ball repeatedly, resulting in me doing extra legwork. Firstly, like most insurance companies, 24 Pet Watch wanted my dog's health records. Fair enough. I had the veterinary hospital forward the records to the company by fax and even called to confirm that they were received. 24 Pet Watch said 'yes', but then days later I got a phone call saying that they were still awaiting the delivery of the health records! Had to contact the vet, yet again, fill out paperwork... Several months later, my dog and I moved to the U.S. from Canada (24 Pet Watch is known as PetCare in Canada). I thought it would be trivial to transfer his existing insurance as a result of there being an American branch of this insurance company. Wrong! Several missteps later (after close to a dozen phone calls and about a month's wait), we finally had my dog's insurance policy transferred. Then it came time to make a claim for my pet's annual visit. Another debacle... 24 Pet Watch conveniently did not receive the claim forms I had sent them by fax. Had to do all the paperwork again and hassle my dog's vet office staff, who were very patient and kind, thankfully. To make a long story short, this

Nala's Paw

Our Sheppard mix had a nasty thorn in her paw. We couldn't get it out so the vet had to...sounds simple but with general anethisia the bill really ran up. Pet Insurance didn't cover the whole visit but it paid about half the bill. I was very happy with how quickly they paid the claim. I would recommend anyone with a pet get ASPCA Health Insurance!

Embrace is Great!

My german sheppard Nala has had a pretty tough go around. I have been an embrace policy holder since 2009 and in that time I have had 3 major surgeries for my Nala. She had bad elbow both covered by embrace and most recently a TTA surgery on her knee. Embrace made the process so easy. I submitted a pre-cert on 07/11/2011, surgery was performed on 07/28/2011 and my reimbursement check was issued on 08/01/2011. This speaks for itself. They are fast with processing and helpful throughout. I am very grateful for having embrace as my pet insurance company. Nala is doing great and thankfully because I have embrace I am not struggling to cover the cost of treatment, instead I am able to focus on her recovery. :) Thank you Embrace. Kim

Outstanding customer service with ASPCA in first w

I was with another BIG pet insurance company for years and dropped them for poor customer service. My Corgi Grace just having been diagnosed with meningitis and had huge bills. ASPCA paid them in timely fashion and paid the 80% as promised. What amazed me was they called to check on Grace? I never had that with last company! That is so rewarding! Keep up the excellent work!Grace and Bud in Charleston SC
