Dissatisfied and Unhappy Customer
I am a customer that has been loyal for many years with my pets. I faithfully paid my premiums on time every month for years, never really using the benefits. I submitted a claim for over $480 for my pet who we suspected had cancer. Vet confirmed no cancer and did bloodwork and a biopsy. I submitted my claim two days later. After about a month, I followed up to see what was happening, as my claim said t was received and not processed. I called customer service and the rep said all she could tell me is that we received it and could not say when it was going to process. I was not happy with that answer and wanted to speak with her supervisor. I had to leave a voice message and when the supervisor called me back, I got that it could be into April as they are behind in proceeding the claims. Upset, I said so you can’t tell me if the claim will be processed and when. I explained that I had been a long-time customer and if I was not able to pay my premiums for a few months that they would not keep me as a customer. She still said she could not tell me anything else. Mind you that I submitted the claim well before the corona virus caused companies to close and work remotely. This agency needs to start with training their customer service and supervisors how to deal with customers-especially ones that have been loyal for years and have paid their premiums on time. I really am not a fan of companies that act as it they are doing you a favor as the customer when it is our premiums that allow them to have jobs in the first place. At the very least, they could have reassured me that it would be processed and I would have an idea as to how much, if any was approved. As of now, I don’t feel as if Pets Best values me as a customer so I will be cancelling my policies effective immediately and taking my business elsewhere.

Bad communication about claims that need to be re opened
I have a claim that needed to be reopened because the reason for not reimbursing me was false. I have not heard any updates and I have had another claim filed and completed in this time.

Pleased overall
Pleased overall. Having certain services not covered at times...bloodwork etc. is bothersome at times. We definitely have paid for more services due to having the insurance and the insurance has been good. Extra's do add up though with deductibles, taxes, and other extras such as bloodwork not covered.
