Trupanion is the reason my dog is still alive and well
Teddy is almost 8 years old. If it was not for Trupanion, Teddy would not only be in a lot of pain, he may not even be alive. After multiple leg injuries and now I diagnosis of cancer, Trupanion has helped me keep Teddy by my side. I would have had to make some very difficult decisions. However, with Trupanion, I knew that treatment was always an option for whatever Teddy encountered. Knowing what I know now, I will always insure my pet and I recommend everyone else do the same in order to help their own pet, save some money, and better the field of pet care in general.

After an Initial Scare, Trupanion Came Thru
Although we were severely disappointed by Trupanion's initial "coverage proposal" on the pre-authorization for Willow's dental surgery today, and had even begun analyzing the merits of/justification for maintaining this 8+-yr old policy (5 pets to-date), the final coverage outcome was far more appropriate and agreeable. Specifically, the final claim analyst seems to have recognized the ridiculousness of applying multiple "deductions per condition" to different symptoms of the same basic condition (i.e. dental/gum disease), the treatment for which is the same (i.e. extraction). It wouldn't be reasonable to apply multiple conditions deductions for, say, an ill child simply because their illness manifested in both fever, diarrhea, and rash, now would it? Trupanion FINALLY came thru appropriately, as has been our general experience.
