Prices are increasing yearly

We signed up 2 years ago for Healthy Paws because we understood it was the best. We've already had a premium increase, and are scheduled for another. Apparently the premium increases every year, but they don't tell you that going in. We have never filed a claim, so all the below information doesn't apply, however, this is something people need to know in advance.

Tired of all of the denied claims

I would not recommend Pets Best Insurance. I have 3 working Border Collies, and recently they have denied everything. Then it is up to you to try and fight it. Too much work and stress! I figure I can put the money I have been throwing away at them in my savings and not waste my money. They used to be very good, but not recently at all. I would NOT recommend them!

petshealth is an excellent ins, cover. for my dog.

petshealth has eased the burden in seeing to the medical needs for my dog tubbs an 8 year old black pug. he has had the coverage since about 7 months. he has been a healthy dog for the most part. at times when medical intervention was needed petshealth stepped into the breach to ease the the cost of care. petshealth is highly recommended.

Embrace treats me better than my own vet

I have been a loyal customer of Embrace for about 3 years, and every so often they prove to me why I'll probably never switch. When I took my dog to the vet for her annual exam and vaccinations, it amounted to a whopping $345 bill! The claim was sent though there were some communication problems (due to said vet's horrible handwriting). Embrace attempted to contact said vet office several times to get a breakdown of the bill over the phone, but the clinic just sent out another bad copy of the bill instead. Another insurance company probably would have given up by then, and not even bothered after a few weeks, but Embrace didn't let it slide and let me know the situation when I contacted them. After speaking with (an incredibly rude) receptionist at my vet's practice and failing once again to get the clinic's cooperation, I deciphered the vet's handwriting myself and e-mailed the breakdown to Embrace. They thanked me and send me the maximum amount reimbursement from their annual Wellness plan ($200), even though the claim was almost a month old by then! With any other pet insurance company, I probably would have had to live with the money lost, but Embrace always takes the time out to help their customers. Thanks again, Embrace!

Easy, Fast, Friendly, Worry-free

Trupanion is a pleasure to work with. My questions are always answered, and I was paid the benefits (after meeting the deductible) in a timely manner. They are very clear what is covered and what is not, since there are always exclusions. I had a complex issue after a rare leg fracture that required both my vet and a specialist surgeon (thank goodness surgery was not required). Each doctor had to sign the claim forms (each with a different diagnosis), and Trupanion handled it properly and promptly. One interesting note: After learning the surgeon prescribed physical therapy, Trupanion added a physical therapy rider on the policy "after" the accident without any question. My young Labrador now receives $130 physical therapy treatments (using an underwater treadmill) that only cost me $13. He loves the treatment (and the therapists) which I believe helped him recover 100%. No sign of lameness, and return to symmetrical muscle tone, which makes us both extremely happy. Didn't think I would need to use this insurance, but an accident can unexpectedly happen at any time.

Fanrastic

Embrace has been great for me n my dog. He has had some unexpected issues that were very expensive n Embrace was right there to help. Will recommend to anyone!

Horrible Company

I bought the policy about 14 years ago, when it was PetCare Petwatch - back then it was great. Once the name changed to 24hr petwatch, Customer service turned to ****. I submitted a claim back in April 2012, and sent them numerous requests and called (stayed on hold average 20 minutes each time) just to get a runaround that the claim wasnt processed yet. I just received correspondence last week (June!) regarding that April Claim for my Cat andy. My cat passed away on June 6th, and today is June 18th, and it took TWELVE days for them to cancel the policy. I sent them 3 emails, called about a half a dozen times - with no luck. I called them today, and went off on the CSR (who couldnt help me, no doubt) but then told me she would find someone to help me. The moron transfers me to an adjuster (to cancel a policy??.... really). The adjuster obviously couldnt help with that, and went looking for the sales manager (who couldnt be found, by the way). I threatened to go to the dept of insurance with my complaint, and guess what - someone mysteriously appeared to help! After 2 weeks, phone calls and emails - i FINALLY never have to deal with this Idiotic company again!

Prompt Service

Once again Trupanion turned around the claim for Spirit's Thyroid tests within 2 days.It gives such peace of mind knowing Trupanion will always be there to assist. I have three dogs and have been a Trupanion/VetInsurance customer for over seven years and have never had an issue with their service and believe me with three active dogs I have neeeded them often.

Saya's Urinary track infection

Saya got sick with a urinary track infection, when wanted to pee she would squad and bark a lot I supposed because it really hurt. She vomited the same day and we even found blood in her pee. The vet told us what she might have and performed some tests. Between the treatment and all the antibiotics the bill was a little over $500. Trupanion covered what they were supposed to covered, though they took a little long to solve the claim.
