Thank goodness for pet insurance

We have had VPI since our Aust Cattle Dog was 4 months and she is 3 yrs old now. After having 2 other dogs in the past who had significant illnesses that almost broke us, we bought pet insurance. Our ACD had to have extensive dental work last Fall and VPI paid everything but $700.00 for which we were grateful. Most recently, she swallowed a foreign body and reimbursement was for everything ($362.00) except for $40.00 which we didn't expect to begin with. Be sure to itemize on claims and read your policy. We are happy.

If People Health Insurance Could be as Painless!

I recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance to Everyone I know! The friends that have signed up for HP have called me to thank me for the recommendation. HP is the absolute Best and I have dealt a few other companies in the past. No gimmicks or hidden "fees/deductibles". They are quick in processing the claim and getting a check out to you. Very pleased with Pets Best

I did a lot of research on pet insurance when I first got my rescue and decided to go with Pets Best. They have been VERY fast to pay claims (within 5 days or less), explain my benefits well, and have answered any and all questions I call about. They even covered a dermatology specialist's visit and testing which is not cheap! In fact, I accidentally called the wrong pet insurance after Googling "Pets Best" to get the number - It started with "Pet" so I hit call. It took FOREVER to get in touch with a person, they were very short with me, and it wasn't until they couldn't find my policy that I realized I called the wrong place. Whew! Finally found the right number it was a very different experience. Pets Best answered right away and got my questions addressed. They have an online chat service that has also been great and convenient. Overall, I highly recommend. It has been very much worth the money.

Not Happy

My dental claims were denied for my both of my dalmatians. My first one was a cleaning and an extraction (because she'd damaged it on a bone- which is supposed to be ACCIDENT) and PBI denied it. Said it was neglect! Neglect would have been to allow it to remain! The 2nd one was a cleaning that was also denied because they again said it was Neglect. I wasn't about to put my dog under anesthesia needlessly prior to this so the reason she was getting her teeth cleaned was because there was some tartar. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Oh and I HAD to post pone her dental cleaning for a bit due to her having several cysts that popped up and the vet said they were a priority. We didn't do them at the same time because we did not want a higher infection risk to be present.

Excellent Customer Service

I took Blu, our 1 year old Husky mix to the emergency vet early on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 as he was lethargic and had diarrhea. They took x-rays, blood, urine, and a fecal. The bill ended up being $760. I sent in the claim and it took quite a while till I heard anything so I called to see what was going on. It was Blu's first claim so they were waiting on another vet to send records but they were a new vet for Blu so he had not gone there yet. As soon as I told them he was not using that vet, I got a response on my claim the following day. When I called Embrace customer service they were very helpful and the phone call lasted only a few minutes.

Best company ever!

I can honestly say that Healthy Paws has been one of the best companies I have ever worked with - and not just for pet insurance, but any type of company. My pets have been insured with them for over 3 years now and Healthy Paws is always willing to go the extra mile to help our pets when needed. They very quickly and honestly answer your questions and the claim process is so easy, especially with their new smart phone app. Being a Healthy Paws customer gives me the security and comfort in knowing that I can provide the best care to my beloved pets when they are sick or injured. I always highly recommend them to anyone who asks me about pet insurance!!

Outstanding Company and Coverage!

I got coverage for my puppy when I got him. Better safe than sorry I thought. I read a lot of reviews like you are probably doing now. Although all the reviews I read for Healthy Paws were good I had no idea what a truly outstanding company it was! My first claim took a couple of days to process because they had to send his chart from the vet's office. My second claim (submitted via their excellent app) was processed in under 3 hours! Then unfortunately we had to make a trip to the emergency hospital on a Saturday night. It was very stressful but far less so knowing that I had this amazing coverage and that all I had to worry about was doing what was best for my little guy! I submitted the claim late Saturday night and it was processed and approved Sunday! The bill for the follow up treatment and tests at his regular vet was approved in less than three hours from the time it was submitted! They even sent an email checking on him! But hold onto your hats! I had to go back to the vet because he got kennel cough at the emergency hospital. I got the email the claim was being processed and ONE minute later got the email saying his claim was complete! ONE minute! I could not be happier with the company and just signed my golden doodle up as well! If I could give them a million stars I would!

Wonderful!

Our dog has a mast cell tumor which required surgery to remove which costed over $900!! We were so glad that VPI came through in such a timely manner and covered all but our deductible!! We are extremely satisfied and have already recommended VPI to our pet owning friends!!

Excellent turnaround time and communication!

Excellent !

The speed and simplicity of filing my claim and getting a check was better than I could have imagined. I took a picture of my invoice from the emergency vet using the iphone app and I had my check within the same week
