From A Veterinarian To You: Get Healthy Paws!

As a veterinarian and the mother of a spoiled dog, I can't recommend enough the value of Healthy Paws. I've seen it help my clients and patients through some potentially difficult times, and as a dog owner it helped me when I needed the help the most. I've researched and compared numerous pet insurance companies, and Healthy Paws is the best for value, customer service, and satisfaction amongst my clients and myself. It's a must have for any pet parent!

Great Service

I have been using VPI Pet Insurance since my dog Mrs. Beasley was born 8 years ago. My policy covers everything from annual check-ups to medical issues. My vet completes the insurance forms with me and VPI is very responsive in getting a payment and detailed manifest to me. I would highly recommend getting pet insurance from VPI as soon as your puppy is eligiable. This protects you against major and minor medical expenses and avoids any pre-existing condition issues.

Service is declining

Recently, we've been noticing a trend to quickly categorize claims as "wellness" and be declined. A follow-up call is placed and after a few weeks the claim is processed correctly. This latest claim is no exception. Our dog had a urinary tract infection two months ago and the claim was paid properly. The veterinarian stated protocol dictates that blood work be taken two months after finishing the medication to make sure the infection is completely gone. We had the necessary test done, it was coded as follow-up to a previous problem, and the claim was rejected as a wellness claim. If we were not monitoring closely (as we unfortunately have learned to do), this would have been the end of the story. A phone call was made to reiterate what the veterinarian wrote down and the claim was reconsidered and paid. This sort of service didn't was unbelievable until recently. It seems something is changing in either personnel or policy at Embrace Pet Insurance. Premiums keep rising and service is getting a little careless.

Saved my dog

Had a puppy get hit by car, left for dead, and picked up by good samaritan. Was close to putting him down, though he is young and strong, and could tell he wanted a shot at life. ER visit for weekend, followed by day in regular vet, followed by 24/7 weeklong ER stay. As you can imagine, my bills were more than I could have imagined. Would call Healthy Paws to make sure he was covered, with their response, "take care of your dog." Some of the nicest representatives, claims were easy, filled out as I went form doctor to doctor, and was reimbursed within about 10 days. Wish I never needed insurance for an accident like this, but thank god I did, and they are great.

Very happy with the coverage and customer service.

I did my research on pet insurance and signed up with Healthy Paws. I had never had pet insurance and didn't use it for over a year...then we had a need and Heathy Paws was very responsive and on top of the claim. I have been VERY HAPPY with the customer service and their responsiveness to my claims. From someone that was very concerned if this was a good idea or not... IT WAS!!! I pray that we don't need them again, but at least I know they will be there and will be reaching out to see how Duke is doing...

Healthy Paws is BEST EVER Pet insurance

I have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance since I adopted my two Basset Hounds about a year and a half ago. Have been so pleased with them. My claims have been paid promptly and their staff is very caring and always follow up with an email asking about how my pets are after they have had a stay at the vet.My Basset Hound Douglas came down with pancreatitis a week before Christmas and had a vet stay of 8 days before he was able to come home. My vet bill for Douglas was over $1l00.00 I have the 90% coverage after deductible. My vet filed the claim for me and I had my payment within a week. So I am extremely happy with Healthy Paws coverage. So I say I am really impressed with Healthy Paws coverage and payouts. I researched several pet insurance providers and noted that Healthy Paws was rated #1 overall so I signed up my Bassets for coverage and have never been disappointed with them.

Total Coverage and Quick Reimbursements

I have a one year old english bulldog puppy. I knew that bulldogs often have health problems, so I thought it a good idea to get insurance for her. I can afford the monthly cost a lot easier than I can afford a $3,000 pet bill. Little did I know, she had a genetic disorder requiring both of there knees to be replaced. Penny just turned one, so the news was very unexpected. My vet warned me most pet insurance companies will not cover genetic disorders. But Healthy Paws covered the whole procedure, no questions asked. I had my reimbursement within a week of me sending all my documents in (invoice, doctors notes). I don't know what I would have done without Healthy Paws. I think I would have had to give Penny to a rescue that could provide her with the care she needed. Honestly without Healthy Paws I would not have been able to keep my baby, and I feel so grateful for them!

Great Insurance company, excellent service!

This is my first pet insurance and I was very lucky to pick up Healthy Paws. My cat has eaten the hear net and went through the stomach surgery. It took less than a week to receive the check from Healthy Paws even it was a Christmas time. Thank you Healthy Paws team! I very much appreciate your service and support!
