Trupanion helped me in a pinch
Trupanion helped cover the expenses of my cat when she got very sick and needed to be hospitalized for a week. I immediately signed up my other cat after this experience, and though I have not needed to submit a claim since, I have peace of mind knowing they’ve got my back if something were to arise. Since getting my shih tzu puppy and researching pet insurance I chose Trupanion because of the great rates and reviews on line. They had the coverage I was looking for. I have not had to use it yet but I’m sure I will at some point and I trust that it will be easy to put in a claim.

Pet insurance for Mischief
I have not had to use Mischief's insurance with Trupanion yet, thank heavens. For me it's a comfort level knowing it's there should it be needed. Living on a budget doesn't allow for many big hiccups and vet bills are just as expensive as our medical bills. I've had the insurance 6+ years. The only issue I have with Trupanion is the rates are increasing at a pretty decent rate "each" year. I will be paying the same as I paid for my 14 year old within 2 years and she will be half the age. Trupanion says their rates are based on usage in the "area", not my particular usage. If the rates get too high, I will be forced to cancel being on a retired budget there isn't room for increases. This would be a sad day and to think all the years paid in completely lost. I've thought about putting the monthly debt into an account to hold for the day it might be needed for Mischief as a work around to paying Trupanion additional increases.

Signing up with Trupanion when we got our puppy 7 years ago, was the best decision we made for her! She is generally healthy but required knee surgery and needed random ER visits along with small procedures. Trupanion often paid for her care within 24 to 48 hours. Customer service is outstanding. Very, very grateful!

I work on the vet industry and countless times I have seen Trupanion come through not only fort me but for other pet owners. The truly are the pretty insurance you want to have when an emergency or a terrible diagnosis is given to you. I cannot explain the peace of mind that comes with knowing that you'll be able to take care of your loved one no matter what your circonstances. I can't recommend this company enough, for their amazing service and unmatchable response rate.

I couldn’t be any happier with…
I couldn’t be any happier with Trupanion and the care my puppy is getting because of the ability to get treatment. I want to especially acknowledge the assistance I got from Vanessa who assisted me over the phone. My puppy Birdy is going through a lot and facing some big obstacles, but Vanessa allowed me time to share and offered empathy. I was in tears when I received a card from her in the mail letting me know she was thinking about us. Vanessa is amazing and Trupanion is blessed to have her as an employee.

Life Saving
Trupanion truly saved our Lola’s life. We found her 6 years ago freezing to death in a snowstorm and nobody ever claimed her. She has many health ailments, which is why we assume her previous owners abandoned her. She developed allergies, chronic dry eye, gets ear infections constantly, frequent UTI, etc. She just has issues. Most recently, she came down with pancreatititis, which led to hepatititis and gallstones. This resulted in the need for her gallbladder to be removed. She was in the hospital for over a week before she could come home, and she is as good as new again! Trupanion called me throughout the week to go over coverage and keep up with Lola’s care. In the end, of the $18,000+ bill, Trupanion covered about $16,000. They literally saved our little senior Lola’s life and gave her another chance to live our her golden years. We are so grateful to Trupanion for truly covering what the contract says they will cover, and if you are considering health insurance for your pet, please do it. Even if you take the best care of your pets, you just never know what can happen.
