Great insurance! Would not be without this insurance.

I have had insurance with Nationwide Pet Insurance for years. I have 5 Yorkies and they get into everything. Don't have to worry about the cost of health care for them. I lost my bulldog to cancer a few years ago and it was very expensive but Nationwide came through for me. I also lost my oldest Yorkie to Cushions. You came through again. My youngest Yorkie broke his leg and my 2 yr old swallowed a needle. You have always been there for my babies. Thanks Nationwide.!

Best Pet Insurance

Healthy Paws essentially saved my puppy's life. Without Healthy Paws I would never have been able to pay for the cardiac surgery he needed. They are a compassionate, kind and caring company who follows up their refunds with real concern about how your dog is doing. I will keep this company forever.

There should be a way to verify coverage before surgery!!

My dog tore his ACL back in March. That claim went well and it was covered. Unfortunately he tore the ACL on the other leg. After searching online I found out that dogs are 40 - 60% more likely to tear the ACL on the second leg. I also read online that most insurance companies will not cover the second surgery. Soooo I called Nationwide. The person I spoke with did read the disclaimer about not being able to tell me the claim would or would not be covered. BUT she said not to worry that it would be treated as a separate incident because it is the other leg. I went on to tell her that I read online that most insurance companies will not cover if it happens to the other leg. She told me that only happens when people get insurance after the first torn ACL and then its considered a pre-existing condition. I am not happy with the way this second claim was handled. Nothing paid out on a $4100 claim. I have insured this dog since I got him 10 years ago. I was told I maxed out the benefit for the year. Why couldn't the person I spoke with on the phone to ask about the coverage tell me I maxed out my benefits? Why can't I speak with an underwriter to find out if there would be coverage? I will not recommend this company to any of the many dog owners I know. Instead I will recommend Healthy Paws or Trupanion. Thanks for being on my side Nationwide!!

Denied Claim

Our claim was denied based on a referenced part of the policy that excluded repeated occurrences despite the fact that I disclosed our Lab's history when enrolling. There was no indication that these claims would not be covered when enrolling. Instead, we were left eating over $5K of surgical expenses. We are once again, dealing with a bad faith decision from a corporation due to a technicality buried in a legal document.

Nationwide Pet Ins offers me great peace of mind while I continue to make sure that my pet has all necessary medical care!

My husband and I have owned many pets over our lifetime. Just making sure that our pet has regular medical care can be very expensive. We researched companies that offered medical insurance for pets and discovered that Nationwide Premium Pet Insurance was the best plan for us. It’s been easy to use and customer service has been professional and personable in dealing with any questions we might have. We have recommended this plan to all our friends with pets!

You do t need insurance until you do! I’m so grateful I got it right a way

I adopted a German Shepherd and got an Insuranse right a way because I lost a cat to cancer and she was not insured. It’s been two years now, I’m still paying off debt for her treatments. The very first year I got my dog my insurance saved me over $1000. Year two I about broke even on premiums. Yes it’s costly but if you love your pet you should insure it

The best pet insurance

Healthy Paws has provided insurance coverage for my dogs since 2010 and they have been exceptionally supportive. My Cavalier was diagnosed with heart and lung disease when she was 10. With expert veterinary oversight she lived until she was 14. Healthy Paws covered a healthy part of the expenses from tests and medications that enabled her to live well for those additional four years. New dog, Papillon/dachsund mix, can't get into enough trouble, resulting in several trips to the emergecy animal hospital. A few weeks ago she swallowed some coins (from where???) and needed an endoscopy to remove them. The surgery would have been unthinkable without Healthy Paws. I am impressed with how generous their reimbursements are. Submitting claims is easy through their app. They communicate frequently to let you know where your claim in in the process. Turnaround time has been quick, even with the CoV19 slow down. Five thumbs up (if that's posible).
