One of the best, if not the best Pet Insurance around.
Probably one of the best, if not the best pet insurance around. Exceptional coverage. Quick turnaround time for claims. Very helpful customer associates. Website claim layout is super easy. The only thing that prevented me from giving them a perfect score is that they're not as "customizable" as other pet insurance around. I wish they can offer that feature soon, or at least give more options to fur-parents. Other than that, I LOVE IT!!!

Our experience with Healthy Paws has…
Our experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing but excellent. Response time is fast and claims are easy to submit. Sophie, a 7 year old schnoodle, developed a "patella luxation at age 6. We had to have surgery on her left hind leg and it went well. Less than a year later, she had to have her right leg operated on. Throughout this event Healthy Paws lived up to their support and re-imbursements were exactly as expected. We would never have a pet without the security and confidence that Healthy Paws provides

They will only pay 6 months worth of claims before creating obstacles and attempting to deny future claims
We currently have the most expensive My Pet Protection With Wellness Plan at Nationwide. While the first 6 months were seamless with our claims and reimbursement, Nationwide put us in a "pre-denial" stage and began attempting shady business tactics to delay (and deny) potential reimbursement on new claims. For our latest claim, (conveniently at the 7 month mark), the standard requirements for reimbursement changed overnight. Nationwide stated that they need to investigate ALL medical records from every vet, hospital and clinic she's ever visited from date of birth to present day in order to process this new claim. Nationwide already has the all the medical records that the new claim is related to. Now, they want us to backtrack and collect all PREVIOUS medical records in existence (relevant or not) from every single place she's been examined since birth. This is a CLEAR stalling tactic and attempt to deny reimbursement. So while we oblige (and waste time as she has no pre-existing conditions and the plan I pay for does NOT require this process for reimbursement), I'm sure they'll find some vague reasoning to deny it. We'll be leaving Nationwide as soon as we can due to their shady tactics to save themselves an extra dollar.
