If only health insurance for humans worked as well
When my normally healthy dog became ill, it was a stressful time, both emotionally and financially. It was a relief to have Healthy Paws insurance. Submitting a claim was easy (just take a photo of the bill and upload to their site), and it was handled quickly without any hassle over procedures or costs. I will definitely recommend Healthy Paws to my friends and family who are pet-parents.

The Best
I have had to use this insurance several times, and have been pleased with how easy and quick it is to submit a claim. Each time it was a quick turn around with an easy to understand explanation of what was covered and what was not.

Pets Best went above and beyond
We've had Pets Best Insurance for several years, but didn't need to use it until recently. They are so easy to work with. They even accepted photos of bills -- with sticky notes stuck to them! Uploading everything was easy, communication was fast! They worked directly with my vet if there was a question. We had multiple problems going on with our cat, and this was such a tremendous help. Also, their online chat was extremely helpful.

Excellent, quick service, great customer service
Rico was bitten by one of my other dogs. A night at the ER and stitches were next. Embrace was fast, the staff was wonderful and caring!

Disappointed
Have been a policy holder for 10 years. Since the takeover by Nationwide, VPI has gone downhill in satisfaction. The deductible used to be once a year and now its for every occurrence. Medications for treatments used to be 90% for all. Now it's $220 maximum. I would leave VPI but other insurers will not accept existing conditions. Nationwide has me by the pocketbook ans won't let go.

Scam
Scam! Signed up with trupanion may, 2015. Noticed my monthly payment kept increasing. Went from $77 and, $89 a month to $89 & $107. I called in to be told they increase yearly due to vet prices increasing (funny the vets in the city have increased their prices). I was upset that they didn't let me know (told me they sent a email in April which I definately don't have.) if I knew they increased their rates yearly I would of never signed up.... How much does it increase? Every year for how long?..... I've never even made a claim,! What a waste of money. Scam

Great service
Daisy, our 4 lb. poodle had a serious bout with an intestinal infection which necessitated several vet visits, blood tests, x-rays and medications ending up with nearly $1000 in vet bills. Shortly after her recovery, she had her teeth cleaned. I was pleased when I submitted the two requests that I received an email acknowledgement and an update on status. We were also pleased with the amount of reimbursement and the followup call we received. We just renewed the policy.

Wonderful service and quick payment.
I submitted invoices for "wellness visits" and they where all paid in full with no questions or problems. Super easy too. Printed a claim form from my account and it was complete with my name and address, my dogs breed and name and my policy number. Just included copies of the invoices and I was done. They emailed me that they where received and kept me informed along the way and that they were accepted. Checks arrived shortly thereafter.
