Trupanion offers straightforward and reliable coverage in addition to excellent customer service and a very well-designed website. Both my husband and I are veterinarians and we could not afford our veterinary fees without Trupanion.

This is my second review and it probably will not be my last because I cannot stress enough how fantastic trupanion is. They have been life savers for our family. Trupanion is very straight forward clear and simple no hidden rules no loop holes no crazy catches. They are fast and do not give you any run around when filing claims and getting reimbursed for medical costs. Also their customer service representatives are patient compassionate and very informed. Oh and another good thing once trupanion is with you they are there for life! They won't drop you because your pet is actually really sick.... imagine that?! So yes I love trupanion I could go on and on....thanks trupanion for making it possible for us to provide the care our little penny needs to literally stay alive on a daily basis. Penny is our 7 month old boxer she has pancreatic insufficiency and needs pancreatic enzymes for the rest of her life...and let me tell you they aren't cheap...wouldn't be able to do it without trupanion! I have had my first dog on a plan with ASPCA Pet Insurance for several years, however I have not had to use it much with him so I have not had much feedback to offer. I adopted an older dog three years ago and she, on the other hand, has had a lot of health issues. This past summer in particular we had to take her to the emergency vet twice in one week, in addition to several other visits with our regular vet to follow up. The insurance covered everything it said it would which made a huge difference for our family. I just finished graduate school and was between jobs when this happened. I don't know what we would have done if we had not been insured.

I signed up for petsecure without checking detailed reviews first (my mistake). Since then my male cat developed a urinary track infection and has been to the vet three times (starting early September) with bills coming to over $1000. The vet has filled out and submitted claims at each appointment and then all three claims together, 4 times since then! They've emailed them, faxed and I've mailed them in and they have all gotten "lost". If this next set doesn't go through I'll be cancelling and enquiring about getting the money Ive donated to them back. Regardless, I'll be cancelling. Why pay pet insurance when you can be approved for financing to pay your bill off over time?

I recently took my dog into the vet for lethargy where he was diagnosed with a heart murmur. First time he has had to be to the vet in years. They diagnosed him right then and starting him on meds. Because I didn't take him in to be seen before the had an issue they classified this as a "pre-existing" issue and will not cover any of the meds, services, ect. So I pay a monthly premium on him for NOTHING since I didn't have him looked at before he got sick. This is a scam to get your monthly payment and then not cover anything. My other dog had to get a ortho scan done and I had it done and then one month to the day I was told I had to do it again cause they rewrote my other dogs policy. So they wanted me to go back to the vet, pay another $68 to have the same exam I had just had done one month earlier. I don't recommend this company and will make sure to put this out all over social media. To all my friends and dog clients.

My dog has a constant problem with his stomach. My doctor suggested having an ultrasound and endoscopy in addition to the blood and other test. All these tests were very expensive and thanks to the Embrace great service we received the reimbursement checks before my credit card due date. I highly recommend Embrace pet insurance

I have had other insurance and they do not even compare to Healthy Paws. They are the best and make it so easy to use. I just submit my claims from the phone application and they are paid so quickly. Look no further, you cannot go wrong with having Healthy Paws, they ROCK!

Trupanion has been there for me and my 9 mos old puppy who had to have extensive surgery on her hind leg. The recovery period for the puppy will be 4 mos. The Vet Clinic faxed the claim and Trupanion e-mailed me immediately that they were reviewing the claim. Within the next 3-4 days they emailed me that claim was approved and check was on its way. This was a 4K surgery and Trupanion paid the 90%. I was ecstatic! Anytime I have called Trupanion they have been very professional and exhibit a true caring for animals. I have had many pets and this is the first time I have purchased pet insurance. I would recommend Trupanion to any pet owner.
