I am so grateful to have their coverage for all the preventative care and all the ridiculous puppy accidents and illnesses that happen in the first year. I spent 3 days (6-8 hours each day) researching all the pet insurance companies available to me for my fur babies. I chose Healthy Paws based on research, reviews, ratings and price comparisons. I am so happy I did. I made the right choice. My newly adopted and street rescued pup after several months of top notch care and training ended up lame. The lameness continued with appropriate vet care and watching and waiting, meds, therapy and still increasing got worse . Finally it was decided the front elbows both had FCP and needed surgical intervention as soon as possible to prevent further damage. Knowing I am not independently wealthy, scared of the bills I would incur, I decided no matter what it needed to be done for Murphy's health. So my vet sent me to the best surgeon in our state 3 hours away and now we are on the road to recovery. I could not have made these important decisions and saved this puppy from a life of pain if it had not been for healthy paws by my side and they had my back! 100%. My boxer had a small skin tag removed from his face during a dental cleaning and months later he was diagnosed with a large cancer mass in his chest Embrace will not pay any of our claims because they consider the skin tag as a preexisting mass. I even had our vet write them a letter stating that the skin tag was nothing more then a skin tag and they still denied. I would not ever recommend you put your money into pet insurance. Take your $45 a month and put it into a savings account for your pet.

I signed on with Healthy Paws back in 2011 when my Lab was around 3 years years old, never knowing that 2 1/2 years later when he got bone cancer that we would be spending over $30,000 in treatments over 13 months. We were able to give him the best care with top notch specialists without having to worry about cost. We paid our bill, submitted our invoice by either email or the Healthy Paws app and we received our check within a week. Sadly he lost his battle in January 2015. Six months later I adopted a Lab/Border Collie mix at 8 weeks old and insured him the next day. He is now a year and a half old. 5 weeks ago he developed a horrible cough and was vomiting. I got pet insurance for my first dog ever as a safety net for an over-worried mom and because the price was just too great to say no to. I had no idea how grateful I would be to have it!
