If there is a upload section for adding or updating invoice receipts to include to the original claim it would make the claim process easier and faster to submit.

My Tikaani has diabetes, it is reassuring to know her checkups as well as her meds are covered and she can get the best quality care. She has had the diabetes 2 years now and is 12 years old and thriving well!

My experience has been great the claims get responded to quickly. Although it is costly for me on a set income my pet will always come first I would rather sacrifice in knowing my pet has insurance. I have been a member for a long time my pet is almost 12 years old and still very active she is a blessing to me. Thank you for your immediate response to my claims.

Slow processing

When Linus, a Coton de Tulear joined our family four years ago I made sure on investing on a good Pet insurance. I looked into a lot of insurers and decided to take a chance with Healthy Paws. I have to say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Healthy Paws has been such a blessing to us and Linus. They have come through for us in spades in two major health issues with our beloved pet. The first one was major stomach issue which required an endoscopy costing over two thousand dollars. At first, we were unsure whether Healthy Paws would actually reimburse the covered amount....and if so maybe the reimbursement would take ages. Nothing could be further from the truth. After submitting the invoices the funds came in less than a week, with no hassles or drama. The second unfortunate incident happened about a month ago when Linus was diagnosed with a herniated disc (Intervertebral disc extrusion). He was in danger of having his hind legs paralyzed and required immediate surgery. Upon hearing the entire cost of the procedure (MRI/Hemilaminectomy), our knees sort of buckled but we felt renewed hope knowing that Healthy Paws was going to be there for us. Thank God the procedure was a success and Linus is no longer in pain and recovering well. All throughout the process we were confident that Healthy Paws was going to back us up all the way. We even received a thoughtful email ten days after the surgery, checking in on Linus' progress! Through their help we will be able to enjoy more priceless years with our dear Linus. Healthy Paws is a cut above the rest and I would absolutely recommend them to any new or existing pet owner. Their customer service is exceptional and reliability is nothing short of outstanding. They don't just offer insurance but the peace of mind that they'll be there for you and your pet in the most trying of times.

This is our 3rd claim that has been DENIED by trupanion. This time it if for a new episode of cough, unrelated to kennel cough 6 months ago, and they denied the claim saying it was "there before." They treated this cough with antibiotics also, but our dog is vaccinated for kennel cough now and this is a new episode. I actually thought she could be joking on something. Today I received an email denying my claim. At this rate, it will be cheaper to stop the insurance and just pay cash. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with trupanion. Oh, and I'm a doctor. So I know how this insurance thing should work.
